yay pt got the push to d rank.

ankoku, i didn't understand your earlier post on why mk was moved back to s rank...but just looking at the snake/mk comparison, it looks pretty clear that the two are not on equal levels. mk has over double the tourney points, and the higher you go up in the list, huge differentials like DOUBLE should have a bigger emphasis. you could make an argument that the same is true of the top and bottom of A rank, but it's really clear there that ROB/Olimar/Lucario are all three very close together and on a different level than the rest of OU. in fact, i'd say add those three to B, and drop sonic/sheilda to C. makes a lot of sense to me.

EDIT nevermind it looks like you did precisely that in the new rankings.

just a little gripe i guess, it doesn't matter overall in the rankings. although it does make a big difference in how most people percieve how the characters compare to each other, without looking at the hard data.

i see. i assume you use a mathematical formula to determine that, but cold, hard numbers aren't always the best way to approach these things. i would say calculate the tiers as if mk were in s rank, but make the distinction between mk and snake.

1st place w/ Pit

Entry fee was $3 and i won $50. I fought a snake in the finals, who beat out an MK who beat out a Game and watch to get there. In the semi-finals i beat a Game and watch, a Diddy in the quarter finals, zelda in the 2nd round, Lucas in the first. They were all one match except for the final and semi finals, which were best out of 3. The top 6 players i believe were me (pit), snake (finals), MK (semi), GnW (semi), Olimar i believe or wolf (qtr.), and Diddy (qtr)

Sorry, this was at my school and the results are not posted online. The most proof i have is an article from my school newspaper that briefly describes my victory in the finals, my remarks about the tourny, and the character i used. I could scan this article if you need it.
