then wouldn't it be listed as DDD/Metaknight and not the other way around? i was under the impression that the first character listed was your main at that tourney and the 2nd was more or less a counterpick?

Hm, well, in germany there arent that much offline turneys and i think nobody would go to someone if you would have to pay an entrance fee xD

But we have a lot of online turneys :) ^^

Sigh. You don't get things easily, do you?

I'm not the one disregarding anything. The pro-ban side is. Every time an MK wins, you say 'Well, it was MK, we all expected that' but you fail to look at the player behind the character. DSF is an excellent player, but somehow even when the likes of Azen and others manage to win with MK you just dismiss it as the character.

I'm not saying DSF would have placed the same with or without MK; I wouldn't know that. But I'd stop acting like I'm taking the high ground here if I were you, because you're not.

It makes it seem like I am pro ban which I have previously stated I am not.

you are also placing arguments that have NOT been stated by the proban side.
No where has the proban side dismissed the players wins.
Name when the proban side has dismissed the player and said it was due to the character.
Name a person who has COMPETENTLY argued that the only reason top players like Azen and DSF are winning is due to MK.

Saying that people win with MK only because its MK is not true. The top players before Akuma remained the top players even after Akuma had been banned. So MK isn't just the reason for them winning.

Thats not nice Ankoku. Thats like saying I argue incoherently.

Shadowlink84 username +majora's mask avatar( changed recently)=Linktard.
I mained the character before Sonic.

I actually did argue for Link but I couldn't support my claim as greatly because of the fact that Link really has nothing that can be proven for him.
At least Sonic has mindgames and a tournament record.

Ya know its funny, i was looking at the first page of this character rankings list, and I was thinking this sure looks like a tier list to me. Then as soon as I thought that I read the first line and it told me i was a moron. So that cleared everything up. Thanks for being so blunt. Really makes me like you, and now all my feelings for Ankoku are all good ones.

I'm just curious...why isn't it a tier list again?

Because this list doesn't take into account metagame developments or character potential. It just compiles tournament data.

Putting Meta Knight in a rank of his own implied several other things and basically made my list sort the rest of the characters into ranks as though Meta Knight did not exist in the metagame.

In other words, it looked like a mess so I moved MK down to S to clean the mess up.

Nor does it take into account character popularity, which can be quite the factor in results, especially at smaller-scales tourneys.
