I've never really tried that, because at many times it can be predicted/read and thus evaded... but I guess it could work on weak shields. Hmm...

I don't think many people use it because (1) it only works on taller characters, (2) it only works if they're grounded, and (3) if they shield it, there's not enough shieldstun to prevent them from countering with an UAir out of shield.
But you don't have to hit him with the Dair. Maybe it can be useful if the opponent is in the air and you do that Fullhop Downair Setup and the opponent airdodge then you can follow the Dair with another aerial or something. Do you understand what i wanna mean ?
Nair then fast falling it would be much more safer and beneficial then a full hop Dair if you're trying to bait an airdodge.
Dair's cool down time in air+lag if you land on the ground before full animation ends=BAD
I'd use it only if I know it will hit or shield push someone off the edge of something.

I made the main image (a fusion of the Demon Hunter logo, and the Mandalorian Skull thingy overtop of a picture of a red lightsaber + background), the top hats, mustache, and monocle were added later for said fad.
