Japanese know some quite nice finds with Marth that I have taking for my own....BUT almost none of their top Marths are good to me, they make horrible decisions while playing a relatively stagnant playstyle

What about Japanese Marth mains?

They follow a number of attributes, but because they are actually japanese there are two key differences:

1. They aren't non-japanese.

2. They do the culture well.


So, Japanese Marth's are the exception that proves the rule for every other marth main, because every other marth main (cept me, another exception that proves the rule) is imitating them badly.
