You're supposed to be making the game worse, guys! How can you not find fighting on top of a dragon to be awesome?

Final Destination and its equivalents within other platform fighters are really underrated as casual free-for-all stages - there may not be much surprise to it, but it makes for a really silly and chaotic king-of-the-hill battle where the stage ends up feeling a lot smaller than it is.

Back during the 2023 Cut Debacles, I often saw Lincoln fans on the NASB thread bring up how the choice to cut Lincoln but put in the castle stage was "missing the point of the movie" - I always just kinda disregarded that as "oh, it's significant to Lincoln's arc", but I just stumbled across this image on Internet McDonalds (AKA TV Tropes) and lmao this is such a blatant response to people thinking their main protag is boring. its like if aladdin 2 had a scene where aladdin mopes in front of a giant genie poster

Here's my "Ultimate sequel" newcomer roster, made with a "let's actually sell copies of this game" mentality (albeit without dropping my signature unconventionality) but not a "let's make something realistic" mentality - I dunno if I ever posted the base game set (left image) but I absolutely haven't posted the DLC set (right image) on the profile posts. It's an EIH roster, DLC is ordered by reveal (left to right, top to bottom) but base game isn't (I imagine the game having a Kratos, Master Chief, and Waluigi triple reveal as it's first trailer)

Small thing to note: I have "retconned" the base game list a little bit after finishing it - I now consider Modern Sonic the newcomer echo, with the classic design being the default. Eggman is still modern though. Additionally, since I couldn't really fit these details on the images: Agumon/Greymon is a stance fighter and Callie/Marie are alts, and may also include unusually tall Pearl and unusually short Marina. Yuka is a Koopaling-style alts character with some of the human Rhythm Heaven girls. (+ the Double Date boy and possibly a monkey) I have been thinking of expanding on this roster a little bit more by creating a fully fledged fake Smash game with items, stages, and such detailed.

Even though I'm personally an advocate for using Classic Sonic as the default in Smash, if Dr. Eggman ever gets in, he needs to use his Modern design, no two ways around it.

I think a significant chunk of the Assist Trophy stigma comes from the design of the item itself - the Smash trophy lore is already a bit messed up, and turning characters into nondescript blobs stranded inside a glass container does not help matters at all

The Brawl design was even worse about this with how cold and blue they made it look. I'm not sure what an alternative design could be, perhaps an instrument or remote control that attracts them from their universe instead of releasing them?

One idea I had that would probably not be compatible with Smash's modern tone at all but would be fun for a Smash that leans back into 64's pro wrestling influences is a megaphone to make an open call for audience participation. It implies that your favourite characters are cheering you on, and each character would get a cute "Hey!" or "Yoohoo!" voice clip

It's always funny how, whenever a gaming myth about "big nasty corporation forces meager nice corporation to make bad games!" gets debunked, the notion doesn't shift to "oh, we were wrong, hopefully someone else wants to make that game then!" but rather "Maybe it's OK to force people to make games they don't want to"

My only exposure to "The Brave Little Toaster" is the Worthless song and that one screenshot of the clown - and honestly, I love how the Worthless song randomly cuts to a fourth-wall-breaking Crazy Eddie parody without cutting out the somber music. I'm not sure if I like that in a "this is stupid" way or a "this is clever" way, I'd probably have to watch the movie for context.

Of all the non-FNAF mascot horror games, particularly from when FNAF first came out, the one that sticks out in my mind most is Tattletail. I don't know why, there's nothing special about it really, I just kinda think about that one a lot.

Even though people tend to say it's the worst one, Jenny's super in NASB2 might be one of my favourites. I just love how cool and collected she is in the attack.
