Why do people tend to compare FE to Mario or Pokémon in discussion of over/underrepresentation? Pokémon is the highest grossing media franchise of all time, Mario basically invented modern day game design, and Fire Emblem is a niche JRPG that most people would've never heard of if not for Smash.

Back in early secondary school, me and some kids would go into one of the residential homes at lunchtime and just watch a ton of TV - it was mostly Tivo'd Simpsons reruns, but occasionally we'd watch Cartoon Network (it was almost never Nickelodeon or Disney Channel, universally either CN or Tivo'd Simpsons) - and thus we watched a ton of episodes of Ben 10: Alien Force out of order with no context and I'd always wonder "why are they making such big deals out of these guys being plumbers? this show ain't about fixing pipes!"
Turns out they were just a space police called "The Plumbers". Huh.
My least wanted Smash fighter is Klonoa.

This isn't some grudge against Klonoa, I think he's alright, a solid C-tier platformer mascot, but there's one big problem with the dream traveller...

His main, most iconic ability is inflating enemies using a bullet from his ring, picking them up, carrying them around, and throwing them - this alone isn't a big deal, cargo works for DK and giving each fighter an inflated form wouldn't be much harder than Kirby hats I imagine - but Klonoa usually throws the enemies either straight forwards or straight downwards. Imagine if a fast lightweight had a projectile that activated DK's cargo throw and could go straight into Byleth's up B command grab, would you want that?
I do understand Klonoa has other powers, but the Wind Bullet is his signature ability that most of the combat and platforming in his games is based around. Klonoa without the Wind Bullet would be equivalent to Crash without the spin or Inkling without the Splattershot, and as Smash focuses more and more on game accuracy as time passes the more likely it becomes that should he get in Klonoa would be a wretched pain to deal with.
I saw this meme a few weeks ago and thought the "ice and water, steak and cow" quote was from unused content, a commercial, some vintage T-shirt, or something obscure and goofy like that. Nope, it's a real Sonic quote. Lyrics in fact.
If Animal Crossing was released on the SNES late into its lifespan, the advert would probably be a fat guy danging a peanut on a stick at a wolf and being gored alive off-screen.

Regardless of which one you think was better conceptually or at the time, can we all agree Crash 1 holds up better by modern gaming standards than Sonic Adventure or Mario 64? At least, barring the terrible save system.

In 7 years time at minimum, we'll look back on the Cruella movie and think "what was Disney thinking?" in the same way we look back at Blank Check and The Wild. It's such a ridiculous concept for a movie - OK, they want to make PG-13 Joker with a Disney villain, I can get behind that, but why Cruella? All she wants is a dog coat, she's not a tragic villain riddled by mental illness or a suppressive society, no, she just wants a dog coat, and that plot only works if your heroes are dogs which is borderline impossible in live action without making it look really stupid.
I kinda did like Maleficent though.
It's funny how the Ninja Turtles' masks serve the exact opposite purpose as real ninja masks.
Crash is one of my most wanted Smash fighters, but I can't help but worry his moveset would just be a direct port from Crash 3 rather than taking cues from obscure/lesser games like Twinsanity and the Mutants duology, making things up, and using unconventional elements like Karts and crates as attacks.
