They're trying to make a villain who literally kills puppies into some feminist role model. Having empowering female characters is a great idea, but they shouldn't make someone who does such a heinous act as killing puppies into some misunderstood, rejected-by-society character. Of course, all Disney villains do heinous stuff, but with Cruella's crime, they really should have picked someone different.
