All of the factors that lead to it are there, it's getting worse actually.. You have everybody jumping on it (Amazon and Google), games are being rushed to (Hello, Cyberpunk)
Game development costs are skyrocketing because everybody wants cinematic games, to offset the skyrocketing costs, game prices are skyrocketing.. And we're seeing a reliance on predatory game mechanics (P2W and lootboxes) as well to recoup those costs
