One thing I learned from reading reviews for Drawn to Life: Two Realms is that a lot of people have never played Super Mario Maker.
That magical catgirl game on the Indie World showcase creeped me the hell out. What's up with that walkcycle?

Cadence of Hyrule basically ruined Indie World showcases. Now everyone just wants to see Marios and Zeldas in a presentation where more likely than not they won't get it.
I've made my negative thoughts of the Animaniacs reboot very clear, but...

A lot of people shoot down the idea of Sega being better to fans than Nintendo with "Sega didn't pay the Mania devs!" even though... they did. They didn't get the profits of the game which is pretty bad, but they WERE paid on a development milestone basis.
Chadtronic is the only YouTuber I can think of who's content has improved in every single sense since he first became popular. Production values, comedy, video topics, overall aesthetic - they're all getting better and better. This guy can take the tried and tired trope of destroying kids' toys and make it entertaining in a completely earnest way.
Aside from the whole COPPA fearmongering thing, that was pretty stupid.
Metroidvania is such a stupid name - It's like calling linear 2D platformers "Marionics", or racing games "Needfurismos".
"Executive Producer" is a title that sounds a lot more important than it actually is.
Can't believe they're actually releasing Hey Punk! Are You Tuff E. Nuff? on the Switch. They're really trying to get all the "Top 10 Bad Box Art" classics checked off.
Nintendo acknowledging the existence of Sarasaland in Daisy's bios was a cool easter egg at first, but now it just feels like a slap in the face given they won't actually show Sarasaland again.
Game critics will seriously say the Virtual Boy overused black and red before gushing on about how "stylish" this mess is:

It's funny how Nagoshi said "I don't want Yakuza characters in Smash because I don't want them fighting women" as if that's somehow the biggest moral grey area in a game where you can beat the **** out of multiple small children, animals, and small animal children.
Corridor platformers are so underappreciated. Everybody says they want new collectathons but there are tons of those, there's only like 8 good corridor games and most of them have "Crash" in the title.

I love how one of the most iconic villains in gaming history got revealed for Smash and the first response was "dammit! one-time Mario character disconfirmed!"
Imagine if the upcoming Namco/Aardman collaboration IP ends up really being good and influential, and as such people want a clay person with a British accent and bad teeth in Smash and there's this debate over whether they should add Lloyd Irving or "Noah the Postie" or whatever and then the Lloyd thread goes into meltdown the exact second "cheerio! fancy a cheeky cuppa?" is heard in a newcomer trailer.
I mean to be fair Namco and Aardman's first collaboration was a dramatic war game with nothing to do with claymation, but still.
We should start celebrating game delays the same way we celebrate new character reveals or plot details.
People say "they'd never get away with jokes like that today!" as if shows like Family Guy and Rick & Morty haven't built their entire identity out of "jokes like that".
What I feel towards Sonic I feel the reverse way towards Mega Man. The Blue Blur BECAME absolute garbage WHEN they made him skinny; green-eyed; and edgy, the Blue Bomber WAS absolute garbage UNTIL they made him skinny; green-eyed and edgy.

I've been hearing a lot of people talking about how Annie may knee yaks. I get that being an pupil-less orphan who shares a universe with a certain Richard Tracy is hard, but you shouldn't take it out on our bovine friends!
I don't believe the leaked list is real, mostly since it has Spyro on it - a character who is famous for getting the shaft in Japan. The Reignited Trilogy doesn't even have a Japanese localisation.

I feel Smash fans can be a little over-democratic. There's a belief that we're entitled to a character on virtue of being popular alone when that is far from the case. I remember seeing a Tweet from a K. Rool fan account a LONG time ago that retweeted and reworded a Star Fox Tweet into "when fans ask you to put in a character, DO IT!" - that's not how it works, dudes.
I keep on checking in on the Geno thread post-Sephiroth and... wow, it's kinda depressing. All the ego and cockiness blew up in their face - as much as I want to feel some wacky karmic schadenfreude, it's just sad to see people so upset over a character they like not getting in, some are even threatening to boycott Nintendo and Square.
The one thing keeping Shantae away from Smash:
Knowing WayForward, she'd probably just make unsubtle innuendos about her nipples going hard.
