The Blue's Clues intro is iconic, but I never got why the first 3 seconds sound like abandoned wild west town music.
Rebooting G&W with vintage ROMs is a genius idea, but really hasn't been executed well. I would've made it more of a budget release designed for families too poor to afford a Switch, a market I'm surprised Nintendo isn't tapping into given that's where bootleg products thrive.
The reason why people make fun of guns and swearing in Shadow the Hedgehog where games like Crash Bandicoot can get off the hook with the same things is because Shadow took it completely straight and used mature themes solely to look cool. It's not "guns in a kids' game" that people dislike, it's "guns portrayed as cool in a kids' game".
I'll always find it hilarious how poorly Sega censored Bonanza Bros. in the 90s. The game is about robbing banks and released during a time where games were being accused of promoting crime so censorship certainly wasn't unnecessary - but the way they went around it was super strange - they changed the brothers to detectives, cool, but instead of you know, changing the loot to evidence and cops to thugs or anything like that, they just added a plot description in the manual that says that they're detectives testing a new security system... by robbing banks... and also added a cutscene to the game's attract mode that contradicts BOTH plots by saying they're vigilantes hired to stop crooked establishments...

I cannot for the life of me figure out why Rouge the Bat was designed in such a sensual way, like she's 1. in an E-rated game, and 2. a stealthy nocturnal animal, the opposite of "eye candy" - make her a ninja or soldier or something!
I don't really get why SSE portrayed Wario as a villain. Wario's certainly not the nicest guy, but he doesn't strike me as the type to try and petrify children for fun - nor does he really strike me as a of legitimate threat of any kind for that matter. I know Wolf was added late into SSBB's development but he'd fit Wario's role in the plot quite well.
Does anybody else think Bowser could be the player character in Bowser's Fury? To go further, while I wouldn't consider it likely in the slightest, the combination of the word "fury" with the spiky black logo makes me think it could (but probably won't) canonise Fawful.
I love the fact that Wario canonically loves farm animals as much as money.

What's with all these gaming channels and starting offshoots about food?
Can you imagine a world where Nintendo and Sony went through with the Play Station collaboration, and as such characters we associate with Sony in this world have been in Smash since the first instalment? Would their series be deep in character additions, leaving people asking for Papu Papu or Moneybags?
I think the weirdest name Nintendo has ever given a game is "Yoshi's Universal Gravitation". It's a standard name for a Japanese release, but they kept that name for the European release for some reason.
This game in general is kinda weird as, apart from a few rather cool one-off characters, it's so forgettable and bland that you can remember it for that alone.
OK, hear me out on this, I know it sounds like a meme but I promise you'll be on board by the end: Game and Watch Battle Royale.
The game contains all 60 Game and Watches, as well as the Nintendo-related instalments in Nelsonic's Game Watch line and a new, more culturally respectful role-reversed version of Fire Attack. You can play them as intended, trying to top your own score, or go online to play against 99 other players at the same time trying to rack up the highest score in a random selection of 5 score-based G&W games, like a mix of Tetris 99 and Fall Guys
I would pay £30, maybe even more, for a complete Game and Watch collection on Switch (with all licensed games (Mickey Mouse, Popeye, e.t.c.) and all reskins (Egg, Mario the Juggler, e.t.c.)), especially if it included the SNES-era Nelsonic Game Watches as well.
