    If you think Melee and 64 are "objectively" the only good competitive Smash games just because of increased complexity, I have no clue why you play/watch Smash instead of traditional fighters. It's OK if you prefer the HAL-era games for that reason, but you can't just act like Wii U and Ultimate are terrible competitive games just because they're slower - elitism does nothing more but breed counter-elitism.

    I am unreasonably enraged by the Spirit list calling Duck Hunt a series, but Hogan's Alley and Wild Gunman (which both also have Vs. versions) as their own games.

    I guess that the logic was "anything with major playable character gets series".

    Still doesn't explain why Wrecking Crew's labelling is so inconsistent though. Probably Bamco interns not fact-checking enough.

    Regardless how you feel about a community, attacking/belittling them for supporting a character is wrong. Let them enjoy speculating about their favorite character. Even if I’m not the biggest Geno supporter, they have every right to support a character and, as a staff member here, I’ll fight to ensure they can do that freely and without trouble.

    If I were a celebrity or CEO of a big corporation, I'd have it so when voting season comes around, instead of posting that cliche, obligatory "go vote!" message, I'd say "hey kids, we need a Noocracy!"

    Since Daisy's getting so many glitches, maybe we could see Pauline? I hope not, but it's possible. I personally would rather have Cranky, Stanley or Jr. as an arcade rep.

    I would love to see Pauline in Smash as I have a lot of nostalgia value for the character.

    She was one of the main characters in the first Mario game I ever played.

    So, Bayonetta's taunt "Don't mess with a witch" was censored from "Don't **** with a witch" - but isn't that the whole point of Bayonetta as a character design, that you want to **** the witch?

    I can't help but feel sorry for people who get in sex scandals because people often use them as excuses to do and say horrible stuff and get away with it under the flimsy guise of "karma". Absolutely not condoning the actions that lead to this, but it's still pretty disturbing to see the whole internet gang up on one person, "deserved" or otherwise.

    Remember the time a certain guy who got hit with accusations and everybody dunk on him for beign a "Cheater" "Creeper" and took clips from his videos out of context to make him look worse? then he showed the recepits and all of the sudden everybody apologized and shut the **** up. Turns out people jumped to conclusions and pretended to care, because the Internet somehow believes they represent justice.

    I wouldn't even wish a Mob to my worst enemy, guilty or not. Let the justice system deal with that (as disfunctional as it can be, at least STILL better than whatever Mob the internet tries to form)

    The only character I consider a "meme character" is King Harkinian from the CDI Zelda games. Everything else that people consider "memes" are just, like, flavor of the month kinda stuff, you know?

    It's 2013, you're 8 years old and lied about being born in 1946 so you can make a YouTube account. One fateful day you open up Windows Movie Maker, and speed up an 11 minute SpongeBob episode to 3 minutes. However, Viacom quickly takes notice and your video is taken down, and with it your channel locked until you can answer the questions of the YouTube Copyright School. As you watch the cute cartoon teaching you falsehoods about fair use, your mind sticks to the opening title, which reads "Happy Tree Friends", upon reclaiming your account you search for that phrase, hoping to see more cute, educational videos, not knowing what you are about to see will change you forever...

    I never got the point of calling characters like Freddy, Jonesy, Sans, e.t.c. "meme picks" - that's basically just a really stubborn way of saying "I don't like this character".

    Spirits not deconfirming was probably good news for everyone except Pokey fans - they've basically lost their whole lead. I don't even want Pokey and even I can't help but feel a little sorry for his fanbase.

    The thing that hurts them the most is that the ASC's sprite is the "empty" variant, so Pokey has effectively and inadvertently been left out. Even worse when you consider that they're one of the only two active Mother character support branches left. And I say this as a guy who's not interested in seeing Pokey get in.

    As someone who wanted Isaac way back in Smash 4, i learned that the absence of something or someone sometimes means nothing. Sometimes a character is missing and that's that.

    All this second FE DLC rep talk is making me glad I'm buying the Challenger Packs individually. If that does happen, I hope there'll be a huge, internet-wide backlash on the level of old movie Sonic or Sweet Victory getting swapped for Sicko Mode.

    Bubsy CEOTFK gets a pretty bad rep for falling damage, but honestly I think the fall damage is one of the best executed elements of the game, you can wait until the last second to glide so you can get through the stage faster but risk getting flattened by gravity, or immediately glide when you're doing a big jump for a safer but slower descent - it's a pretty genius idea, which CEOTFK has quite a few of, bogged down by some awful execution.

    The only thing worse than not reaching your Kickstarter goal is going way past it and having tons of elaborate stretch goals to develop and backer copies to manufacture. PlatinumGames seem to have learned this the hard way

    The credits version of Friend Like Me from the live action Aladdin implies, if not directly states, Will Smith's Genie is intentionally contributing to climate change multiple times.

    The funny thing to me about Moto Moto is that Big and Chunky was COMPOSED for Madagascar. It isn't some popular song they included because kids are going to hear it on the radio anyway, no, they wrote this disturbingly sexual anthem specifically for a DreamWorks family movie.

    It's always fun to try and find a way to reinterpret the latest "sexy" art trend as something really gross or weird. I had a lot of fun when Bowsette came around by creating a Wario-fied Samus.

    TBH I think we're pretty close to the bottom of the barrel with first parties, with the only A listers I'd say are missing being Waluigi and maybe Impa - but that makes me even more hyped for future 1P reps because we could see some forgotten heroes make a comeback.

    I would honestly call Dixie Kong and Bandana Dee A listers as well since they're the next most important characters from their franchises that deserve to get in Smash next as well as some of the biggest omissions from the roster. Hell, Dixie Kong was the protagonist of DKC3 and the co-protagonist of DKC2.

    Edit: Maybe Wart will return.

    It's strange there haven't been many good Wallace and Gromit games. You'd think a series known for elaborate inventions and utterly ridiculous yet still intense action/chase scenes would be a prime candidate for any dev wanting to work on a cartoon IP
