I do wonder how much of the way we discuss video games is dictated entirely by the term we use having "games" in it, as opposed to just calling them "software" or some equivalent term. An Inconvenient Truth doesn't directly tell a story nor is it intended to be fun, but nobody would argue that it isn't a movie, if we called movies say "moving stories" or something, would there be a debate over that? Would people try to brush aside any moving story with dire plotlines or a non-entertainment focus as "not fun"?
