I like how the aesthetic and theming of Antonblast feels like it's intentionally trying to be "a 7 year old's superficial idea of what adults like". "Yeah, there's beer, and casinos, and Satan, and graffiti, and butts..." it's kinda sweet in a bit of a twisted way.

Maybe this is me being British speaking, but a lot of 1P Smash discourse in relation to "iconic factor" feels like "game 10 people played vs. game 5 people played". I don't think the difference between Metroid and Chibi-Robo in popularity is all too significant.

So, we can all agree that either Morrigan or Felicia is the mascot of Darkstalkers, right? They weren't intended as such, that was Dimitri, but they were the ones who resonated with the public. You could argue a similar situation about Sans, Undertale used Flowey for promo stuff back in the earliest days.

So... does that mean these guys are all retroactively... and INHERENTLY the main protags of their games?
