With the Switch’s 2024 holiday season out of the way (Merry Christmas, btw), I can see the Switch 2 being revealed in January and then releasing in either May or June next year.

Assuming you haven’t seen the movie yet…boy, have I got good news for you (I’m not gonna spoil it, of course).
Anyone here remember Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time? It used a special engine called Pollux that allowed the DS version to be emulated via the Wii version.
However, this engine was never used again, not even by Square Enix. Which is a shame, because I can name at least 20 DS games that would get mileage out of this engine.

Falcom stonks continue to grow
I think one of the worst parts of the creative process is when you have a million ideas dancing in your head, but then you never have the motivation to bring them to life even when you have plenty of free time.
What do you guys think of this Sonic overhaul mod?
You know what I just realized? The world really did end in 2012…except the Mayan calendar didn’t predict the world being ravaged by natural disasters. It predicted Disney’s buyout of LucasFilm enabling the monopoly under their grimy, money-hungry grasp.
Here’s my plans for Kingdom Hearts in 2025:
- Get myself a new laptop that can run melonDS
- Purchase 1.5+2.5, 2.8, and 3 on Steam once I have the money
- Play the games in the following order:
- Kingdom Hearts
- Chain of Memories (primarily the 1.5 version unless Nintendo drops the GBA version on NSO)
- Kingdom Hearts II
- 358/2 Days (melonDS)
- Birth by Sleep
- Re:Coded (melonDS)

If Mario Party gets a stage in the next Smash game, how would you guys feel if the stage was Mario's Rainbow Castle, with the main gimmick being the top of the castle switching between Toad and Impostor Bowser? There could also be a handful of spaces indicated by projections of them.

At this point, my overall Smash hype peaked with Sora. Nowadays I just support whoever I think would have a fun moveset.

I’ve had trouble putting into words why I don’t want a Nintendo Kart, but I think I’ve finally found a succinct way to put it: the crossover aspect of Smash isn’t something you can just replicate. Hence, I think it would be more worth the effort to create a Mario Kart game that properly celebrates the history of Mario and the adjacent franchises like Luigi’s Mansion and Donkey Kong.
If the next Smash has an Adventure Mode that was similar to Melee, what levels would you like to see?
And with that, Shadow Generations has been beaten by me. It’s a GOAT-ed game and I highly recommend it.

You guys know how with NASB, the characters were only allowed to have official alternate appearances as alternate costumes? Honestly, I think that might serve to the benefit of Noah and Mio, since Xenoblade 3 has plenty of alternate outfits for them. What other characters (be they newcomer or veteran) do you think would benefit from their alts consisting entirely of official alternate appearances?
I wish when Mario Kart Tour was still getting new content, it did more cross-promotional events the same way Super Mario Run did.
After thinking about it a bit more, I’ve decided to reinstall Discord on my phone.
Anyway, after clearing my mind of…current events, I’ve decided I want the next Smash game’s newcomer selection to be as follows:
- Newcomers from veteran franchises in both the base game and DLC
- Newcomers from newly represented 1st party franchises in the base game
- Newcomers from newly represented 3rd party franchises in the DLC
Hopefully official companies like Nintendo make the jump to BlueSky ASAP. Because it’s clear that Musk will just keep screwing them over the longer they stay on Twitter.
I deleted that last status about how I wish I was TFOne Megatron because I realized that I might’ve gone too far.
I think for the sake of continuing to clear my mind, I’m going to limit my social media presence. I’ve already deleted Twitter and Discord from my phone (the latter of which I can still use on my computer for article proofreading, at least).
No matter what happens in the next four years, don’t give up. We’re in this together. Tell everyone else you love the same thing. As long as we keep fighting, we’ll get through this. The one silver lining in all of this is that Trump won’t be able to run again after this term.
I genuinely cannot sleep tonight. The fact that this is a close race at all just goes to show how much America has failed humanity.
