I'm looking at the Brawl Sticker list, and TBH I think I prefer stickers over spirits. Their format allows for a lot of cool art to be used that wouldn't be possible with the lore of spirits - you've got a lot of vintage art like puppet Fox and Greg Martin Sonic, the prophecy from Wind Waker is there, some spirits are related to gameplay mechanics that technically don't physically manifest; and some stickers even have backgrounds.

I had a nightmare where a bunch of Crash Bandicoot bosses started destroying my house, and I thought someone was entering to save me, but it was actually just a newspaper delivery, and Dingodile's drills, that were penetrating through the entrance's floor, drilled into the newspaper and somehow flipped them over the funny pages, where Garfield was saying swear words.

I think the "why do they call it oven" meme is the one thing ever made that I can actually say makes more sense if you "turn off your brain". It's like a pun that only works if you forget what grammar is and also create a second definition for "oven" as an adjective

The make the Simpsons truly relevant again, they need to look to, and learn from, their past. They need to make Homer's favourite food frosty chocolate milkshakes again.

I said this when the game first came out, and I stand by it: I really don't like Poppy Playtime's approach to character design not for being too cute and marketable, but for not being cute enough. Like, I cannot imagine a toy designer creating Catnap or Mommy Long Legs with the intention of it being cute and accidentally making them look freakish - I can maybe imagine them in a 90s-Nickelodeon-style gross-out cartoon, but not as the Hasbro/Mattel toys they're being presented as - on the other hand, I can imagine somebody building a Freddy Fazbear without realising that he could be unsettling.

One of the most fascinating characters I've learned of since getting into PD stuff is Krazy Kat - a cartoon character from the 1910s who is explicitly and unambiguously genderfluid - not in the sense that they sometimes wear drag like Bugs Bunny, or that they occasionally play the role of another gender in a cartoons-as-actors sense, but it's explicitly discussed in the comic that Krazy is sometimes a woman and sometimes a man.

I find it a bit strange how referencing the moustache man commercial as a Crash trailer is a pretty accepted idea in Smash speculation, but the idea of representing Genesis Does What Nintendon't in any form is seen as weird or dumb.

I don't know if this is post-3D All-Stars negativity speaking, but between Peach Showtime's devs and Mario's VA in Wonder, the "you'll find out in the credits" thing Nintendo has been doing lately is really starting to raise eyebrows for me

I've been watching Kingdom Hearts world speculation videos lately, and it's weird to me (even if not necessarily unexplainable) that KH speculation seems to be more civil than Smash speculation (unless I've only been lucky enough to encounter the right channels) - like, surely a KH world is a WAY bigger deal, near-infintely so, than a Smash character, right? There's less worlds in a KH game than a Smash game; KH worlds have entire mandatory plots with multiple speaking characters that often serve as outright sequels; and going back to old worlds is the exception and not the norm - Smash characters, on the other hand, rarely get removed from instalment to instalment; are ultimately little more than just a cameo of a single character you can choose not to control; and are part of a huge pantheon that keeps on growing. Obviously this is the result of the way Nintendo markets and distributes Smash characters (CGI trailers, Amiibos, mystery passes) actively promoting toxicity and grandstanding (intentionally or otherwise) and not just a case of KH fans all being good noodles, but there's still a cruel irony to it. KH fans seem to keep their cool when talking about nutjob ideas like live action remakes or The Simpsons, Smash fans will create a warzone if you suggest an idea as inoffensive as Lara Croft or Angry Birds.
