I already made my overall thoughts on the movie known, but I would like to take a sec to appreciate how they made sure the classic jumpscare scream was used impactfully - It's only used twice, and only one of those times was an actual jumpscare. The second one, when Freddy uses it while they're dragging William away, almost sounds more like an agonized sound, as if to convey the idea that the soul inside is coping with the weight of having someone they saw as their friend be their murderer.
Good stuff.
