I'm hoping to get a new Here's the Keys roster up tonight, but in the meantime, a potential DLC pick for a doubles team in my Doubles Roster; Baron K. Roolenstein (would play mostly the same, and his king/kaptain personas would be alts) and KAOS (the dkc3 one, not the skylanders one).

So I played Sonic Superstars. My initial thoughts after playing through the first two zones:
- Core gameplay is honestly solid - had fun breezing through zones even if level design felt a bit wonky sometimes (most notably so in Speed Jungle)
- Honestly the bosses I played were pretty mid. Bridge Island's first boss barely qualifies as a boss,; The second one I was kinda fearing getting into because iI heard it took ages but I beat it in a reasonable amount of time. Speed Jungle's bosses were sadly kinda ass; The first one was okay if a bit boring but the second is tedious af
- Special stages feel kinda mindless. It's the first two emeralds so I'm not expecting anything too difficult but I felt like i was kinda mashing A and somehow getting away with it. the "fruit" stages were fun though
- As for emerald powers, they're cool on paper but there weren't any times I felt really compelled to use em
- Overall it's... okay. Definitely no Mania and struggles with things outside of core "gotta go fast" gameplay but i'd give it a solid 6/10 so far, maybe a 7
I wanna know the thought process behind Wario's Chomp; Not from a "why did they go with Chomp instead of Shoulder Bash?" perspective, but rather "why should Wario specifically eat the opponent?" At least with the Wario Waft, Wario's shoddy personal hygiene and toilet humor was established, but aside from a very loose connection to the Hyper Suction from Wario World, I have no clue where Chomp came from.

Looking back, I think cyan Inkling Boy was a weird choice for Kamek's Spirit Battle. Yeah, I get it's 'cuz of the glasses and the fact he's blue, but in terms of overall outfit/magical prowess, I think I'd go with a blue Robin or Peach - Leaning on the latter due to Kamek's penchant for dressing up as Peach.
Over the summer, I might do something similar to what WaWaWa did and play every game on NSO's Game Boy app. Granted, I've already played most of its heavy hitters (Tetris, Kirby's Dream Land, and SML2), but I'm especially curious regarding stuff like the Mario sports games and Pokemon TCG.
(the game boy specifically because it's a small enough library where i could feasibly do 'em all even regarding the potential summer job i might have)
Random Smash fighter pitch: Dunk from Wario Land 2. A basketball-orientated fighter, kinda like Lebron in Multiversus.

I feel like if I were to do a "one fighter per 3P company" approach to a rebooted Smash roster, Capcom's pick would probably the be most affected by the direction of the roster. If you're going the COGH route, I would prioritize Ryu for hailing from the birth of the modern fighting game and generally being more relevant than Mega Man these days, but if you wanna do "Nintendo's All Stars", Mega Man would be more representative of that idea.
At least with other companies, you have an obvious character that can fit both slots; Sonic for Sega, Pac-Man for Namco, Steve for Microsoft (yes I'd prioritize Steve over Banjo even in a NAS situation)...
