When I was like 14 I saw the Nostalgia Critic review of the Masters of the Universe live action movie and legitimately thought the song "OK 2 B Gay" by Tomboy was part of the film - and I only just now know it wasn't in the actual film. For probably over 6 years I thought a bad 80s kids movie contained a non-subtextual gay anthem and miraculously went without any controversy.
Disney theory:
Donkey Kong = Donkey Kong bad, Mario good
Donkey Kong Jr. = Donkey Kong good, Mario bad
Fix it Felix Jr. = Felix good, Ralph bad
Therefore, we can deduct that the original Fix it Felix was about fighting a serial gentrifier
"Aged down Bayonetta spin-off" is probably the recent game announcement that sounds the most like a #5 spot in a "top 10 wacky fake games" joke listicle

The Sonic Movie is finished - featuring a demented slaughterhouse scene, two of the most obnoxious "protagonists" ever put to film, and an extremely hamfisted semi-political moral, it is certainly one of the 3D movies of all time

Doing more than 3 votes for DriDim can be a pain in calculations. but I also think it has made the lineup of franchises and the content within way more varied and interesting.
I'm looking through FanEdit.org, and is it just me or are 60-to-70% of these just "we removed all the jokes from this kids' movie"?
I actually kinda like the idea of Plank in Multiversus - basically a throwable item in place of a fighter, but his player can time button presses to deal extra damage or avoid reflection/destruction - with some kind of penalty for his ally should they miss - perhaps with some extremely limited movement like flipping over or jumping straight upwards.

I've always disliked the concept of Smash support fandom "alliances". It's just gatekeeping disguised as being welcoming. On the outside it's "Waluigi and Isaac fans should team up!" but on the inside it's pretty clearly - by intent or otherwise - "If you don't also want Waluigi, you're not really on Isaac's team." or vice versa.
The funniest satirical lie in Dunkey's new video is certainly "Donkey Kong was the first platformer".
Imagine if the Wario Land/Yoshi's Island naming scheme stuck around. Imagine the vitriol aimed at the announcement of "Super Mario Galaxy 3: Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker"
I like how the Panda Cup's Twitter banner only features like 3 characters people actually play as at a high level per game featured (not a diss towards competitive Smash players, mind you, moreso a diss towards Nintendo, who probably either made the assets or provided the style guide on which characters should feature, for being out-of-touch)
Disney's "Intercats" show doesn't feel like it came out too late but rather too early. It's like if Wreck-It Ralph came out in 2006, you're long past the "that's old and stupid!" phase, and almost reached the nostalgia zone for the subject matter - but you've still gotta hold it off a little. -
