A YouTuber I subscribe to had their account hijacked and is now streaming pro-crypto clickbait nonsense while posing as Tesla.

Obviously, I hope the YTer gets their channel back - I love their content. But with this being the fifth time this has happened in recent memory, I have to think; If crypto was this massive, thriving economy that’s the way if the future, you wouldn’t need to hack people to spread the word, no?

I sign up for my spring semester courses tomorrow - I don't wanna jinx anything, but the classes I picked out will give me a much more lenient schedule than this semester, which should hopefully mean I can do another creation thread. Hopefully I get into them.

A few ideas I've had:

An animation-based platform fighter. Not sure if this one's already been done.
A MOBA mega-crossover game.
A thread for developing our own game console. This one's a bit more out-there, but I think it could be fun.
A Crash Bandicoot platfighter ~~(aka what wumpa league should be...)~~

Damn, I'm now just realizing how good Yoshi's kit is from an originality/relevancy perspective. Most of my gripes with him are relatively small things, like wanting him to have a better recovery. Other than that, he's probably one of my favorite Smash 64 characters behind Fox and Captain Falcon.

Now that we're roughly 1/3 into No Nostalgia Critic November, here's some tips.

Note that No Nostalgia Critic November only bars you from watching Nostalgia Critic. By this logic, you can look at a picture of Nostalgia Critic and as long as it doesn't move, you didn't lose. (Technically speaking, you can also listen to NC as long as you don't look at the video itself, but this is risky business and I wouldn't recommend it.)
No Nostalgia Critic November only applies if Doug Walker is actively using the Critic persona. Watching the Doug Reviews series, for example, is perfectly okay.
If you see Nostalgia Critic on your recommended list, DO NOT MOUSE OVER IT. This will trigger YouTube's preview function, meaning you lose. If you're on mobile, this won't happen as long as you already have a video playing in your miniplayer.
Be wary of any videos you find on Discord - Some ne'er-do-well might have snuck Nostalgia Critic in there. This is how I lost last year, and I don't want it to happen to you.

Just watched the new Food Theory on Chuck E. Cheese lore - Honestly, a fairly decent theory, but given the intro, I'm kinda disappointed that Mat never brings up the old, pre-reboot Chuck E. lore where Chuck regularly had Jasper turned off for being annoying (which is pretty much the same thing as being knocked unconscious for animatronics). You could make a whole other "theory" based on that kind of stuff alone.

Another weird pre-college school story for you all: When I was in high school (this was during the first year of COVID), we were supposed to do a project analyzing a character from A Streetcar Named Desire. A few examples of acceptable projects were listed, one of which being "Write a recipe for a character".

Now, I don't consider myself too literal-minded; Idioms and wordplay are my way of life! For whatever reason, though, I decided to take this literally and tried to tie the character Stanley to a recipe for sour gummy bears (the sour part being an allegory for how Stanley is a sour person and overall kind of an ass, for example). In hindsight, the teacher was probably looking for the character's personality traits broken down into "ingredients" in a metaphorical sense. Whoops.

But hey, I got an A on the assignment, so it all worked out in the end.

I had to buy a book for one of my assignments, but I didn't feel like paying $50 for a book I'd use once, so I decided to go to Pearson+, do their four-month trial, and then cancel after I finished the assignment so I essentially got the book for free perfectly legally.

I go to their tech support today to cancel the subscription, and look who arrived to help me in my hour of need...
