i have a fun idea for infinity crisis' final guest fighter but given the lois lane fallout i feel i'd be burned at the stake just by suggesting them

so they released a garfield party game ten days ago and i am only now learning of it

I'm pretty content with NASB's roster as it currently stands - The only thing I feel is truly "missing" is a FOP rep, and even then, my requests beyond that are fairly standard: Mr. Krabs, Otis, Dudley if you wanna get crazy with it, etc. However, my most wanted character is someone a bit more unorthadox.


This character (NickBlob, as I'll be calling him) has just under a minute of screentime across his entire history, but he's become an iconic staple of 90s Nickelodeon for many. The main draw for me, though, is his amorphous body. His original bumper has him morph into a fish and dinosaur, but for NASB, I think it'd be cool if NickBlob could morph into different shapes the Nickelodeon logo has taken over the years, as well as references to other bumpers. One idea I have is one of his neutral airs - He morphs himself into the "burst" variation of the Nickelodeon logo and spin like a buzzsaw. That's only the tip of the iceberg, though - this page has a bunch of Nickelodeon logos that could inspire some moves!

Basically, I want NickBlob to be like the Mr. Game & Watch of NASB, except instead of turning into characters from actual Nick shows (although I wouldn't be opposed to a Kirby-style copy ability system), he turns into logos and characters from Nickelodeon bumpers. Will this character ever happen? Probably not. Regardless, he's a character I'd REALLY be excited about.

(Oh, and we could give him a blue alt to reference the Nick Jr. logo, assuming that isn't worked into the moveset somehow.)

A YouTuber I subscribe to had their account hijacked and is now streaming pro-crypto clickbait nonsense while posing as Tesla.

Obviously, I hope the YTer gets their channel back - I love their content. But with this being the fifth time this has happened in recent memory, I have to think; If crypto was this massive, thriving economy that’s the way if the future, you wouldn’t need to hack people to spread the word, no?

I sign up for my spring semester courses tomorrow - I don't wanna jinx anything, but the classes I picked out will give me a much more lenient schedule than this semester, which should hopefully mean I can do another creation thread. Hopefully I get into them.

A few ideas I've had:

• An animation-based platform fighter. Not sure if this one's already been done.
• A MOBA mega-crossover game.
• A thread for developing our own game console. This one's a bit more out-there, but I think it could be fun.
• A Crash Bandicoot platfighter (aka what wumpa league should be...)

Despite me not being the biggest fan of Pontoon Pro getting into Bloons Blowout (no offense to Baysha or anything), I do think I have a pretty solid moveset in mind that could make it a really interesting kind of grappler.

Damn, I'm now just realizing how good Yoshi's kit is from an originality/relevancy perspective. Most of my gripes with him are relatively small things, like wanting him to have a better recovery. Other than that, he's probably one of my favorite Smash 64 characters behind Fox and Captain Falcon.

Now that we're roughly 1/3 into No Nostalgia Critic November, here's some tips.

• Note that No Nostalgia Critic November only bars you from watching Nostalgia Critic. By this logic, you can look at a picture of Nostalgia Critic and as long as it doesn't move, you didn't lose. (Technically speaking, you can also listen to NC as long as you don't look at the video itself, but this is risky business and I wouldn't recommend it.)
• No Nostalgia Critic November only applies if Doug Walker is actively using the Critic persona. Watching the Doug Reviews series, for example, is perfectly okay.
• If you see Nostalgia Critic on your recommended list, DO NOT MOUSE OVER IT. This will trigger YouTube's preview function, meaning you lose. If you're on mobile, this won't happen as long as you already have a video playing in your miniplayer.
• Be wary of any videos you find on Discord - Some ne'er-do-well might have snuck Nostalgia Critic in there. This is how I lost last year, and I don't want it to happen to you.

I've been watching the 2013 Mickey Mouse shorts on and off all day. Gotta say, they're probably some of my favorite pieces of Mickey media - They simultaneously capture the classic Mickey aesthetic and completely go against it. It's great.

Just watched the new Food Theory on Chuck E. Cheese lore - Honestly, a fairly decent theory, but given the intro, I'm kinda disappointed that Mat never brings up the old, pre-reboot Chuck E. lore where Chuck regularly had Jasper turned off for being annoying (which is pretty much the same thing as being knocked unconscious for animatronics). You could make a whole other "theory" based on that kind of stuff alone.
