The sports mode in NASB is really fun, but pretty much only if you play with the Plankton or Arnold ball - all the smaller balls make it more tedious than anything, especially the soccer ball since you can't grab it.

It's funny how when Crash fans talk about an "open world game" they just mean a standard 90s collectathon, and are still generally rabidly opposed to it. I don't think any other platformer series has a fandom so comfortable - if stubborn - in their existing gameplay style, and I love the Crash fandom for it.

Were people actually expecting NASB to have voice acting at launch? Generally (new) voice acting just isn't a thing licensed cartoon games do anymore - that's why the BFBB remake kept the old Mr. Krabs substitute VA voice clips - it's a god damn miracle NASB even had an announcer, let alone post-launch VA.

Or am I just a weirdo for knowing too much about and keeping way too many tabs on the state of the cartoon tie-in game subindustry?
