I have mixed feelings on the idea of Timmy Turner in NASB - not because of Oaxis/Butch or anything, but rather because there's just so much moveset potential that it'd be hard to give his moveset a concentrated theme or feel, but on the other hand he's just such an iconic Nicktoons character that it wouldn't really feel right to go straight to a side character like Jorgen (especially considering the whole Nelvana deal). What I would do personally is either 1. base his moveset primarily on the intro - that way the definitive most iconic wishes are represented, or 2. base his moveset entirely on the wishes that drive the plots of episodes - so just because Timmy wished for a parachute one time as a deus ex machina doesn't mean he can use a parachute, but if he spent a whole episode using a wish for Cosmo and Wanda to be skating gear that's fine.

I tend to have a different mentality between making fighting game rosters and kart racers rosters - when doing fighting games, it has to be moveset potential and uniqueness getting top priority with popularity being a considerable factor that could make or break but rarely does, but in kart racers where characters are mostly cosmetic you have to get in everyone's favourites and justify obscure picks by choosing ones who work just as well as character designs in a vacuum as they do as full characters.

I'm looking back at the PaRappa content I submitted for the Parallel Universe thread and... wow, how did I think this was OK for an Advanced spirit? Like, I generally make Spirit Battles under the assumption that stats would be changed so I shouldn't worry about difficulty, but this is insane even for a Legend.

If my games (should I ever get them off the ground) get localisations, I want the people doing them to just blatantly unmarried-parents-ize it - not just change it to fit the culture, but also their own vision. If my game gets turned into Anime Magical Catgirl Dragon Adventure for Japan I'd be really satisfied because that's creativity at work and, even if I dislike the aesthetic they chose, I love seeing creativity built on top of existing works.

I would say Factory Pomo and Wacky Pomo are my aesthetics of choice - basically, the table scraps of the 90s/early 00s that nobody from the time is nostalgic for and nobody my age wants to dig up. I don't think either of them have articles on the Aesthetics Wiki in fact, closest would be "Kidcore" as an equivalent to Wacky Pomo, but that plays more into the cute, innocent element of childhood than the wacky, rule-breaking element.

Megamind and Despicable Me are probably the "twin movies" with the most drastic a quality gap - not that Despicable Me is a bad movie (it's a fun slapstick comedy, better than a lot of its contemporaries from Blue Sky and pre-Spiderverse Sony, that would likely be viewed in a better light if it didn't spawn such a big franchise), moreso that Megamind is just that good.

I'm not opposed to Goku in NASB, it's absolutely impossible but if the game got big enough to justify guests budgetary-wise Goku would be a decent pick even if I'd rather have a more cartoony anime character like Doraemon.

I've gone down the Caillou Gets Grounded rabbithole again - personally I prefer the pre-ironic type of grounded video that doesn't relish in absurdity but rather lets it happen like it's nothing - closing logos; PNG characters; and all, but the ironic ones that poke at "GoAnimate logic" and such can occasionally be genuinely clever.

I feel Rio, Robots, Ice Age, e.t.c. should all be getting reboots under Disney and not continuations - they're films where the concept, world, and characters are there but the plot and humour just aren't, absolute perfect reboot material

I dunno why when people put WarioWare characters into general Mario Kart/Tennis/Party rosters, they always choose Mona (after the obvious Ashley) - she's the most basic character in the entire subfranchise, seems weird to choose her to represent the weird subseries over say; the eldery cyborg or the 70s disco dancer.

I honestly do feel Everyone is Here was a mistake, even ignoring any conception of resources and development time. Would've made Byleth (who honestly, despite being a really bad choice from a roster perspective probably has the best moveset of the DLC) sting a lot less, made DLC characters not need to stand out as much and therefore make all of them to the same standards as Byleth; Sephiroth; or Plant, and allowed Smash to continue as a series much easier and therefore make Ultimate's flaws more likely to be fixed at some point.

The roster for Disney Melee Mania is actually pretty good, but I must question the choice of Timon and Jasmine of all characters, at least in the context of what we know currently. The other side-over-protag choices I think were good calls though. Manticore and Bing Bong are especially good picks.

I like the pirate AU Tawna in Crash 4 and how her darker past/personality contrasts the silly characters, I just wish they did something comical with that juxtaposition - like having her act melodramatic in wacky scenarios or such.
