I generally don't like character variants (Dr. Mario, ZSS, Pink Gold Peach, Dry Bowser) in games where characters have no differences beyond stats, but in games where characters have full movesets and abilities I think they're really cool.

I think Jill, Muddy, and maybe PaRappa are the only Smash newcomers who could possibly make me cry of happiness. Waluigi wouldn't really be personal for me and I want Knight & Ostrich for the moveset potential and significance given Smash's heavy use of Balloon Fight, not emotional attachment.

I think I've submitted PaRappa to every creation thread I've ever played (at least where he'd be elegible) multiple times but he's never won.
I kinda simultaniously do and don't understand the hype for Tetris Effect. It looks beautiful, the music is incredible, and its changes to the formula are some of the smartest in Tetris history - but at the same time, "magnum opus" or "masterpiece" is really overselling it.

I find the Buddy Bear characters in Garfield & Friends really interesting. Through a modern lens it's really easy to misinterpret them as right-wing commentary about "SJW censorship", but they are absolutely not meant to be political in any form - they're moreso a satire of children's authority figures and how they only create more misery in their futile attempts to prevent conflict. Children needing the right to acknowledge negative emotions and disagree with authority or the crowd is a really good message that you rarely see discussed anywhere, and it's a shame some people have chosen to insert their political biases into it.
Can you buy Dearly Beloved (Swing) without Sora? Because it's a jam I want on Living Room ASAP.
The Muppets would simultaniously be both the most and least fitting Disney IP to put in Kingdom Hearts. On one hand, the friendship themes of Kingdom Hearts line up pretty well with the actors troupe aesthetic of the Muppets (Kermit's famous quote from the '79 Muppet Movie sounds like something out of KH even), but on the other hand... it's the Muppets.
I really love the original Kingdom Hearts box art - I'm a sucker for nighttime cityscapes for one, but I also absolutely adore the way it shows off Donald and Goofy with neither shame nor pride, like they're just another part of the universe.

Going back to Ultimate after so much Nick Brawl is gonna be hard - not impossible though, I could get back into Ultimate after playing Rivals for example, and switching to tap jump in Ultimate was relatively painless. Just need those 5 or so minutes in training to adjust.
Now I think about it... the small version of Mario would make for a really cool clone, basically the exact inverse of Dr. Mario

If Nintendo introduced a Warupichi and she ended up being some conventionally attractive Catwoman-Bowsette femme fetale instead of a feral trash goblin like she should be, that would be more upsetting than Byleth; the Waluigi AT; Corrin; Bayonetta; and Pythra's Smash reveals combined.
My ideal Smash reveal would probably go something like

I don't think that rumoured-to-be-cancelled Nicktoons crossover movie would've worked - but a crossover of the superhero parody mascots from within Nick's shows (Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy, Powdered Toast Man, Ultra Lord, Manarctica, Crimson Chin, Really Really Big Man, maybe even Reptar) would be some great campy fun. The rare sort of cartoon adaptation I think would be better in live action too.
Intentionally or not, Nintendo making the character who's main if not only personality trait is liking their earlier games the worst character to play as is VERY on brand.
When I was a kid, I thought the Piranha Plant Pipeway track in Mario Kart 7 was really cool because it was a multiplayer game level that looked like something from the platformer series.
Oooh, if only I knew....
The atmosphere of the early WarioWares (up to Smooth Moves about) is underappreciated. They're to city life what Donkey Kong Country 1&2 are to nature - especially Mega Microgames.
