I have no clue how ASMR became such a marketing sensation considering that the whole point is that only certain people get it because they're just kinda born that way. Seems counterintuitive to the usual corporate goal of one-size-fits-all appeal.

I've been reading a lot of CTRNF vs MK8 debate threads and there's a worrying amount of people who chose MK8 solely or primarily because of frame rate, sometimes even after acknowledging CTR as conceptually and structurally better.
The Fred Figglehorn doll has an uncanny resemblance to one-er, two-of my OCs and I am not comfortable with that fact.
Since the new Looney Tunes Cartoons are bringing back obscure characters, and WB are open to acknowledging memes as shown by Big Chungus, we need a new Dan Backslide cartoon. I'm generally not a fan of LA adaptions, but live action Pokémon? As long as they don't go the Riverdale route, sign me the **** up. I loved Detective Pikachu and Pokémon is the perfect IP for the LA treatment.
It must suck to be the daughter of a gory kidnapping-revenge action movie character. People who joke about Pokémon being "kid friendly dogfighting" would have a goldmine of jokes if Drill Dozer ever defied the odds and became popular through a reboot/remake. The game's literally about gang wars and police corruption, but like Pokémon it never treats those dark themes as actually dark and just expects you to accept it as part of the universe.
A small part of me wonders if DD's plot and overall aesthetic was designed as a response to, or even a scathing satire of, the "growing up with the audience" trend of the time that Spyro, Sonic, Bomberman, e.t.c. were doing - basically showing you don't have to abandon the cute factor or cartoonish semi-violent mayhem to fit in more intense storylines. Wouldn't be the first time Game Freak were spiteful towards the blue blur - GF's earlier game Pulseman was intentionally designed to be as anime as possible in response to Sonic's Western cartoon aesthetic.
I like how when Jamster lost the rights to make Crazy Frog ringtones, they just made their own frogs using the exact same musical samples (which IIRC require a different license) and called them the Crazy Frogs. Jamster were shockingly brazen if you look through all their controversies

I don't get the terms "boomer pick" and "zoomer pick". In the age of emulation any character can belong to any era regardless of true chronological debut. Ness, for example, hasn't been seen since 1995 (discounting cameos and crossovers) but has a much bigger "zoomer" following than "boomer".
I like how pretty much every Space Jam 2 review can agree on the same positives and negatives... except the Michael B. Jordan cameo, which is either seen as the ultimate insult or the perfect gag.

Sanic hot take: instead of Westopolis, the first stage of Shadow the Hedgehog should've been Glyphic Canyon - it's a location with much more danger than previous Sonic first levels to represent Shadow's increase edge and moral ambiguity, but still tranquil enough to not seem like a jarring first level or transition from previous Sonic starting levels.
I think it'd be funny if Sonic Rangers/Zao's final title was "Sonic Hype" because then it and Metroid's names would have the exact opposite implications from how fans feel about them.
Reminder: Disney spent $175 million to make a movie specifically designed to promote a Buzzfeed rip-off they closed down 3 years later.

I don't exactly see them working like the ICs but more like Banjo/DH, where one attacks by using the other as a weapon for certain moves. They have tranquilizer guns, a weapon I'm surprised has had no prescence in Smash yet. I think it'd be cool if they could steal projectiles, not for reuse but rather to increase the power of slams with their loot bag.
I feel that if the new Shyamalan movie, OLD, was made in Japan it'd have a very different tone.
