    Yeah there's still content.
    (Side question)
Does anyone know of Regular show mad for fnf... maybe on gamebanana.com or something

I mean the large scale popularity, not the existence of a fandom.

Someone on the Spanish SSBU localisation team must've been really tired of the "breaks bricks with his head, dies when touching a turtle" meme.

Describing some of the creative processes behind the game project I hope to make in interviews would make me sound like a madman.

"The original idea was for the aesthetic to resemble Mega Man Legends, but I ultimately decided Rugrats: Search for Reptar was a better reference point for colourful, cartoonish PS1 graphics."
Surely it wouldn't be too much of a feat to make a kart racer with 100+ characters, right? CTR NF has 55 different characters (discounting Fixed Rilla Roo), which is as far as I know the highest character count of any (closed source) kart racer ever made. Fighting game characters need balancing and conceptualising but their rosters can break the 70 mark, why can't kart racers do the same? With Mario's long history and the amount of dosh Mario Kart is gauranteed to make why not blow a large chunk of the budget on mustering such a big roster?

heres what I got for an 80 character Mario Kart Roster, a lot of which are baby or other alternate versions, although all partnered. I purposefully didn't pull from WarioWare, RPGs or enemies without hands but I know there are a lot of people who do, which would obviously increase the numbers of the roster.

Being known to outsiders as the "contrarian killjoy gamedev who doesn't want his characters in Smash" is my ideal reputation.

The day Smash speculators start making their own indie games will be a scary time - the inherent bias of this sort of discussion would be doubled, and devs would have the power to give a character an exact Smash moveset within their own game. Nightmare world.

Why did I choose this image. It's so god damn blurry, can it be made out without context?
Honestly, I'm kinda starting to dislike the idea of Crash in Smash - not because of Activision, ActiBlizz could waterboard babies and I'd still buy and talk about its games. No, it's more that I don't really think Sakurai could do Crash justice. I don't want a boring moveset about throwing boxes; generic jetpacks; and slow, clunky wumpa bazookas, but I feel that's exactly what Sakurai would give. In my eyes a lot of Crash's moveset potential comes from bad-to-mediocre games released during the lowest lows of his popularity - the exact same games you'd pass over when doing character research. I managed to make a special moveset based only on the PS1 games and even then I had to use CTR to avoid making Crash boring - imagine trying to make a full moveset without the actual beat-em-up Titans games, or the peak of Crash's characterisation (Twinsanity) for reference - it would not turn out very interesting.

Is It even worth It to get Crash in Smash if he won't come with the Incredible music Twinsanity had?

Because sadly I feel if Crash got in they would just use PS1 games and Crash 4 for reference.
How have Nintendo gone so many decades without giving Bowser his own game? He works as a protagonist, a majority of Mario's RPGs have him as a hero so why not?

    "BoWsEr's InSiDe StOrY tHoUgH."

Yeah, I love that game to bits but that's not his own title, he's sharing it.

I've always dreamed of a Bowser beat-em-up style game where the plot is that a new villain kidnaps Peach and defeats the Bros. with ease so Bowser takes it personally and goes after Peach to try to kidnap her back.

This may sound dumb but I would love an army builder game starring Bowser.

Like, you would control Bowser and you have to choose which enemies to put and all that to make raids into each one of the castles in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Maybe for a cheap game a-la Mario vs Donkey Kong It could be neat.
In the age of the internet it's easier to condemn unaccepted actions than unacceptable actions. You can point and laugh at a low functioning 20-year-old autistic man having a meltdown in B&Q, avoiding the moral questions raised by onlookers filming him without his consent or not giving the much-needed blame to the parents who raised a child and eventually adult they weren't fit to have, or the society that forces people like him to suppress one of the only methods of emotional communication they have, but a sleazy oil tycoon, tidy; hygenic; well for mental health and from a respectable background, announcing in a quiet board meeting he wants to drill the Amazon River Basin isn't funny, so a leaked recording would never spread.
As I get older, I find it a lot easier to appreciate "bad" shows, games, movies, e.t.c. from an artistic or conceptual level - I see old video game tie-in cartoons less as "taking a paycheck" and more "trying to understand what those whippersnappers like" for example.
There's two dreams I had ages ago that I keep thinking about but never bothered to document until today

    • A dream where Angelina Ballerina was a PAL-exclusive Melee character with a unique moveset, and nobody seemed to question or even acknowledge her exclusion from "everyone is here!".
    • A dream where I was a detective researching a car crash, and John Kricfaluski was a concerned mother figure constantly hounding me to find out if his kids (who were literally just Ren & Stimpy) were OK.
If I was Sakurai I would've quit Smash the exact moment Nintendo learned they could use it to promote new games.

Really, if I was Sakurai Smash would be very different. In fact Nintendo as a whole would be different - I wouldn't have kept Kirby's placeholder design for one thing.
The idea of a good Nick platfighter has been a dream of mine for almost decades now, so my mind had already kinda normalised the idea of "Nigel Thornberry wavedashing" or "Aang losing the Reptar matchup" long before this was announced - that being said, I made this comment and even then the absurdity of it caught me off-guard once it left my head and arrived on Reddit.
Even though it's not a competitive stage and that'd kinda defeat the point, I'd love KoF Stadium forms for every stage.

    Same.

More so for Suzaku Castle and the Arms stage.
    Wario Wario Wario
    Wario Wario Wario
    • Final Destination - the light from the middle of the stage is now on the floor
    • Peach's Castle 64 - the left and right sides of the stage have the grey brick texture
    • Super Happy Tree - the left and right sides of the stage are made of clouds
    • Rainbow Cruise - you battle on the checkered platform from the scrolling section
    • Kongo Falls - the right side of the stage is made of the rock, but not the left side.
    • Jungle Japes - the barrel outhouse is on the left side
    • Great Bay - based on the bottom platform instead of the top. The owl is there but the lab is replaced by a non-interactable Tingle cameo
    • Brinstar - the middle of the stage has a flesh bridge
    • Yoshi's Island Melee - the middle of the stage has a block bridge
    • Corneria - the StarFox logo is imprinted on the floor
    • Venom - same as Corneria
    • Onett - on the ground instead of atop a building. The normal stage's buildings are in the background, quite far away
    • Mushroom Kingdom 2 - log bridge in the middle. Right in front of the waterfall.
    • Delfino Plaza - Fight on the walkway. The Pianta statue is restored and there are Pianta and Noki NPCs.
    • Figure-8 Circuit - On the ground
    • WarioWare - Microgame backgrounds appear, but not the games themselves
    • Yoshi's Island - The left and right of the stage are Blaargwiches
    • Halberd - takes place on the Halberd itself
    • Port Town Aero Dive - fight on the racetrack
    • Castle Siege - fight on the throne room
    • Smashville - fight in the village itself
    • 3D Land - fight in the Grassy Plains portion
    • Paper Mario - fight in the Bowser's Castle portion
    • Gerudo Valley - bridge is the entire stage
    • Spirit Train - fight on top of the train itself
    • Dream Land GB - Dedede arena
    • Unova Pokémon League - the bridges from the regular stage are the left and right.
    • Prism Tower - ground form
    • Magicant - the left of the stage is a (decurved) metal octopus and the right is a metal eraser
    • Living Room - on the floor
    • Mushroom Kingdom U - Dungeon form, left and right sides are geysers
    • Mario Circuit - the small island
    • Skyloft - the angel statue
    • Great Cave Offensive - the pink portion of the stage
    • Flat Zone X - the floor of the Chef kitchen
    • Palutena's Temple - the left and right are made of the bridge
    • Garden of Hope - the left is made of a bridge and the right is made of the weighted platform
    • Town & City - fight in the city itself
    • Wuhu Island - fight on the basketball court
    • Pac-Land - fight on the controls of the arcade machine, the regular stage's cycle plays on the screen
    • Mario Maker - the left and right of the stage can be either platforms: bricks: mushroom platforms; pipes; or more terrain. Which one each side is changes every swap
    • Umbra - the left and right of the stage is debris
    • New Donk City Hall - on the ground
    • Dracula's Castle - no longer appears destroyed
    • Spiral Mountain - fight on the bridge to Grunty's Tower
    • Garreg Mach - fight inside the school
    • Spring Stadium - left and right of the stage are themed on the springs
    • Northern Cave - fight on the Highwind, showing a different perspective of the stage
    • Cloud Sea - the dragon still appears
Since I was talking about the missing spirits on the comments of my previous status, I figured I should make a mock-up for a "Those Who Remain" spirit event promo image.
I love the fact that when Nintendo made a game specifically for Americans they plastered the word "Cola" over everything to substitute for references to actual American culture.

    Still a great game though.

This is only vaguely related, but the fact that there’s no star tropics spirits in smash ultimate makes me really annoyed and a lot more than it probably should. I dunno, it just feels frustrating if anything for some reason.

I can understand the lack of Uniracers content with the Pixar lawsuit and all that, but the fact Western-exclusive games like StarTropics and Tin Star have no rep in Smash is really weird - especially when you consider that localised versions of certain games have seperate spirits from their Japanese versions!

There's also the complete lack of any Tingle series content, I was thinking they didn't want to draw attention to those games because of certain themes in them, but there isn't really any controversial content in the Tingle games that doesn't also exist in Mother 3.
Watching the DYKGaming video on Epic Mickey a while back got me thinking about what other Epic games based on Disney's core universe they could've made alongside Epic Mickey and Epic Donald.

Epic Pete where you stand in for the many Disney villains, Epic Pluto where you have to rescue Mickey instead of the usual owner-saves-dog plot, Epic Goofy (or hell, even just Epic Max) which swaps the 30s aesthetic for the 90s, so much potential.
ASMR ads make me legit uncomfortable - like, ASMR already comes off to me like the person saying it has malicious intentions, (unless they're Funky Kong) but now they actually do have malicious intentions!
Watching movie reviews is a minefield - sometimes you'll find a review you really agree with, then go to the channel's other videos, see "HOME ON THE RANGE (2021) - DISNEY'S WOKE SWISS SOCIALIST DISASTER?? WHY THE ORIGINAL IS BETTER!" and you're just like

That's why before watching a review which pops up in my reccomended or a suspicious video while doing research on something I always make sure to take a general look of the YouTube channel before watching anything.

If there were any doubts about the existence of the Mario Mandate before, I think this Daisy voice line thing sets it in stone.

They are basically the restrictions Nintendo puts to second or third parties when working on their games.

They are the reason why Sticker Star and Colour Splash turned out the way they did and why Mario & Luigi got kinda meh with the remakes.
I got this beer advert and only paid half-attention, so it came off less as "accidentally made an uncanny valley ice sculpture" and more as "accidentally killed your friend by turning him into an ice bust" - which, if this were the 90s, would not be a surprising path for an ad campaign to go.
