I don't really see much harm in "Roblox Squid Game" or anything like that - strikes me as no different from Bayonetta and Snake popping up in Smash Bros. or a kids' show making a Terminator thumbs up reference.

On the Smash Infinite thread, you're allowed to submit fan-made remixes as music tracks - however, I was the only person to (correctly) submit a remix for Sonic (as opposed to just posting the OG song and saying it'd be remixed) - which therefore means that in the Infinite universe, this is Sonic's second and only new Smash remix:
Most of my Infinite track submissions are chosen specifically to elicit the response of "dude, why did you set this song to max and not Megalovania/Live & Learn/Gangplank Galleon?"

I don't get the metaverse - what do corporations have to gain from basically just making a VR game with no plot?
It's kinda funny how NNN was created as a means of self-control for porn addiction, but is now a sign of not only unstoppable porn addiction, but an unreasonable amount of self-pity for something that ultimately is only really a problem if you have a partner - which you probably don't if you're partaking in NNN.
The only people who wouldn't benefit from a 6+ year Smash hiatus are Nintendo corporate and investors
Which is exactly why Smash 7 is probably gonna be announced in about 3 years.
If a unique-member-of-a-generic-species got in Smash, it'd be funny to have their default be that unique character and then the remaining 7 alts be their generic equivalents.
While the lack of Disney isn't that surprising overall, it is kinda surprising they didn't include the DuckTales Moon theme with Sora. Feels weird to have a Disney character in a crossover game but not the song that is probably Disney's second biggest impact on the gaming world behind KH.
It's kinda funny how The Flintstones and The Jetsons are loosely associated with Mario music and Sonic music respectively.

Deserved, though I haven't seen Triplets of Belleville so I can't speak for that

Cars probably should've took this one, but if Curious George or Flushed Away were nominated they should've wone.
2007 - Ratatouille
Deserved, I'd argue the Simpsons was snubbed but would not have won even against Surf's Up.
2008 - Wall-E
Easily the closest Dreamworks to Pixar race, but I'm giving it to Wall-E. Sorry Po.
2009 - Up
I love Up, but Fantastic Mr. Fox was robbed.
2010 - Toy Story 3
Deserved.
2011 - Rango
100% Deserved, but Kung Fu Panda 2 is a legend worth tipping your hat to.
2012 - Brave
How did the worst of these movies win? Wreck It Ralph winning would be one thing, but Brave? Three stop motion masterpieces and a sweet-hearted if immature tribute to gaming - and they get shafted for that mess?
2013 - Frozen
That "Ernest and Celestine" movie looks awesome, I'll have to check that out - until I can give judgement about that film I'll say Elsa earned her title.
2014 - Big Hero 6
Not the biggest BoxTrolls fan and I haven't seen the others, but considering how much people rave about Cartoon Saloon, Song of the Sea probably deserved it.
2015 - Inside Out
I'm extremely sorry, Shaun, but this was earned.
2016 - Zootopia
Yet again, I've only seen the Disney flicks here. I love Zootopia and I love Moana, but I'd give it to Zootopia here. Red Turtle sounds interesting though,

"Bookish" is such a stupid-sounding word. It sounds like the name of a smart sidekick in a Flash-animated Canadian-French cartoon, not a widely accepted adjective dating back to the 1560s.
If Disney somehow loosened up their brand image restrictions and made a fighting game, I think it'd make sense to have Tigger playable but not Pooh.

Continuing from that last status, I was thinking of doing a NASB stage design tier list.
One extremely small detail I love in Nick Brawl is that the lowest soft platform on the Loud House stage seems to be specifically placed so the hitbox of Lincoln's Up B will come out when he gets there.

Dark Bowser has become an iconic Mario character entirely through clickbait videos and bootleg toys. Probably more well known than Geno even.
I think there should be more alts in Smash that change skin tones - be that tan like with Luigi's fire alt in 64, ethnicity like with Dark Pit and Ken's alts, or even applying some fantastical colour scheme like Green Team DK in 64.
Learn with Pibby was a fun little short but I don't think I'd watch a full series or even short/movie - that being said, I love the design and voice of the cat villain lady.
