I'm mostly going to make this a wishlist, but for this I'm going to explain how I see each character working in Smash.
- Waluigi: Let's be real, he might as well get in at this point. The joke ofhim being an AT and nothing else is just tired at this point, and I say this as someone who doesn't even massively support him compared to his other fans. Given how many spin-offs he's appeared in, there's a wide variety of movesets you could craft for him but, ideally, I see him pulling material from as many Mario sub-series he's appeared in as possible.
- Pauline: With how much Nintendo has been pushing her since the Switch era, I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed her for Smash, too. And for good reason; she was one of the three characters in the original Donkey Kong, one of the most culturally significant video games ever, and that same influence came back in Odyssey, where her popularity skyrocketed. For her hypothetical moveset, I could see her pulling from Odyssey, the original Donkey Kong, and (forgive me if I'm walking into a mine field) Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
- Dixie Kong: I dunno when DK's standalone series will be relevant again, but after the positive response to King K. Rool's return, I think it's pretty fair to give another DK character a shot. I went with Dixie Kong for the sake of having her as a Diddy Kong Echo with a few moves changed around (notably, blowing a bubblegum projectile as her neutral special and borrowing Donkey Kong's up special).
- Another Zelda rep: I don't care who, I don't care how they'd play, I'd gladly gut both Link clones for at least one new Zelda newcomer. And while we're at it, I concur when I say Ganondorf should be based on TotK as well.
- Raven Beak: MP4 be damned, Raven Beak is simply one of the best Nintendo villains in recent memory and a damn good final boss to boot. His boss battle alone provides tons of moveset potential, but we can also make him interesting by giving him an Aeion gauge that grants more powerful versions of his special moves.
- Bandana Waddle Dee: Just like with Waluigi, I say it's high time BWD finally makes his Smash debut, especially with Forgotten Land doing so well. That being said, I see him being a stance fighter who switches between his Spear (fast attacks that do low amounts on their own, but rack up damage in the blink of an eye) and his Parasol (slower, stronger attacks meant for finishing off opponents at the opportune moments).
- Alear: Now, I'm sure Engage has pretty much worn out its time in the limelight, but I wanted to at least humor Alear for a moment. At first, I had no clue how you could make the Engage mechanic work in Smash without it feeling ham-fisted, if that makes any sense, so I decided to watch a playthrough on YouTube. After watching the playthrough in full, Alear becoming the 13th Emblem near the end of the game was how I finally figured it out: as the 13th Emblem, Alear can Engage with any unit in the game. Ergo, for Smash, Alear's Engage Mode can have them summoning Alfred, Diamant, Timerra and Ivy during the Engage version of their specials.
- Noah & Mio: As they're both the main characters of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I figure they both deserve a shot at being playable. The only question is how to translate XBC3's gameplay into Smash, but I do at least know that Noah could use the Arts of the Swordfighter, Medic Gunner and Heavy Guard classes, while Mio could use the Arts of the Zephyr, Tactician and Ogre classes.
- Ring Fit Trainee: Contrary to popular belief, Wii Fit and Ring Fit are two totally different games and so Ring Fit Trainee would not work as a Wii Fit Trainer Echo at all. That is all.
- Dr. Eggman: After Sephiroth, I figured Eggman is the next logical step for a video game villain as famous as he is. There are so many boss fights and other appearances you could base the moveset on, but my idea was to have him be another stance fighter. One stance would be Eggman in the Egg Mobile using gadgets from his various boss battles, and the other stance could be him on foot, summoning Badniks to do his dirty work.
- Chun-Li: Yet another culturally significant character, this time we're dealing with the self-proclaimed "Strongest Woman in the World". Her Smash moveset is practically tailor-made on paper, but I figured she could be specifically based on 3rd Strike with moves from other Street Fighter games sprinkled in for good measure.
- Rayman: After the Phantom Show DLC for Mario + Rabbids, I guess one could say there's still a Spark of Hope for Rayman to become relevant again. Eh? Eh? As for his moveset, Origins and Legends pretty much have the basic attacks written out for him.
- Geno
- The obligatory Pokemon
- Whatever FE character is currently relevant
- Crash Bandicoot

Smash is known for having fighters that, on the surface, make most people think “the hell does this work?” and yet they’re able to make it work. So, with that being said, give me some of your wackiest Smash fighter ideas. For me, It’s a Yiga Clan Footsoldier as Sheik’s Echo Fighter

Just wondering: if Ash was allowed to catch a Legendary Pokémon in each region, which one should be catch? My list:
-Kanto: Any of the Legendary Birds
-Johto: Ho-Oh
-Hoenn: Latias
-Sinnoh: Azelf

-Kalos: Xerneas
-Alola: Solgaleo
-Galar: Zacian

Okay, so…the Forbidden Seven. A group of code names with leftover data implying seven characters cut from Brawl.
- "pra_mai", commonly theorized to be Plusle and Minun from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. However, the name also means “every player”, so it could’ve also been a name for Miis (which were considered for Brawl but ultimately dropped) or the RANDOM button on the CSS.
- "mewtwo", "roy" and "dr_mario", definitely known to be three characters who were planned to return from Melee, but were dropped due to time constraints. It should be noted that Mewtwo and Roy’s data put together includes unused victory themes and a Wii Remote sound.
- "toon_zelda" and "toon_sheik", commonly theorized to either be Tetra or simple Toon versions of Zelda and Sheik.
- "dixie", last name Kong. According to Sakurai, Dixie and Diddy were supposed to be another tag team like the Ice Climbers, but this was dropped because of technical issues and Diddy became a solo fighter.
- Mewtwo, Roy and Dr. Mario would of course return, since they’re veterans (and in the latter two’s case, they’d be even easier to develop since they’re clones)
- Dixie Kong would also be a solo fighter and a semi-clone of Diddy
- ”pra_mai”: I was thinking it should be Plusle and Minun as spiritual successors to Pichu’s moveset (minus recoil, obviously) and a tag team character
- ”toon_zelda” and “toon_sheik”: Honestly? I’d say just put your best foot forward and make Tetra a fighter with a fully unique moveset

What classic arcade characters would you guys like to see as playable in Smash? Personally, I’m pining for Namco’s Valkyrie.
If support threads were still allowed, I wonder what the hypothetical ones for characters like, for example, Noah & Mio and Meowscarada would be like.
This is going to sound crazy but I think if Eevee was a playable Smash fighter, it should just...be a simple fighter with Extreme Evoboost as its Final Smash. That way, you can use the other Eeveelutions without having to over-complicate Eevee's moveset. Besides, with it having become a secondary mascot for Pokemon as a whole alongside Pikachu, keeping its moveset relatively simple is more likely to win over people who love Pokemon but haven't played a Smash game before.
I really think Mario Odyssey, as fantastic as it is on its own, kind of under-utilized the idea of DLC. So I decided to make a 3-season DLC expansion pass.

- New playable character: Luigi
- New minigame: Luigi's Balloon World
- Cloud Kingdom is expanded upon
- New Kingdom: Yoshi's Island

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Sakurai appeared in a Direct and said “Hm? Sora amiibo? I’m afraid no such thing exists.
…As if I’d ever really say that.” and then revealed amiibo with all four of his costumes in SSBU?
When people unironically suggest that Ring Fit Trainee would be a Wii Fit Trainer Echo, it tells me that they either didn’t play the game or, even if they did, still only look at the “Fit” part of the name and didn’t look at Ring Fit Adventure’s gameplay beyond that. Cause Wii Fit and Ring Fit are totally different games despite both being first party games with peripherals for exercise.
What’s the most out of pocket Smash Bros. moment you can think of (both in-universe and out-of-universe)?

Now we're moving on to SEGA / ATLUS fighters that aren't from Sonic.
I’ve said things like this before, but I feel like Smash doesn’t fully utilize the idea of representing 3rd party franchises by means other than a playable character. What I mean is, 3rd party franchises without playable characters but still have content like stages, songs, Assist Trophies, etc.
Monster Hunter in Ultimate is the best example of this, featuring Rathalos both a boss AND an Assist Trophy, as well as a few songs and Spirits. A step in the right direction when you consider all the other 3rd party content in the game, but I still feel like it could go beyond that (among what’s feasible, anyway).
Did any TMNT cartoon ever poke fun at the 1987 cartoon being called “Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles” in the UK? Cause I had an idea for an episode of the 1987 cartoon where the TMNT are turned into the Gentle British Hero Turtles that basically takes a riff at the all changes made in the UK version.

I still wish they did Spirit Events up until the launch for Tears of the Kingdom.
You guys know how SSE has alternate cutscenes depending on which character you picked, right? What if there were also alternate levels and other alterations depending on your choices? For example, let’s say if you picked Mario from for the first battle at Midair Stadium, you’d fight Petey Piranha as him and Zelda joined him after the battle.
I had another thought: how would you guys feel if the FE lineup in Smash was this?
1. Marth (64, along with the other three cut characters Bowser, Dedede and Mewtwo; moveset remains the same)
2. Lyn (Brawl; moveset involves a mix of sword and bow attacks)
3. Ike (Brawl; moveset is mostly the same, but with Urvan for the Smash attacks)
4. Chrom (Sm4sh; uses a mix of sword and lance attacks. Lucina is also an alt.)
5. Azura (Sm4sh as DLC; primarily uses a lance, but also incorporates dancing and water bending)
6. Byleth (Ultimate; moveset remains the same)
I just realized: You guys know how some people on Twitter lied about Splinter being gay in Mutant Mayhem? After watching the movie last week, I just realized that it’s because of a scene where he kisses Scumbug, even though the movie makes it abundantly clear that Scumbug is a girl.

I just remembered that Estelle Bright the character shares her birthday with the Japanese release of Tales of Vesperia…which also has a character named Estelle.
Seriously, Estelle from Tales and Estelle from Kiseki should meet each other. -
