X1 Chill Penguin
He seems like the Cutman of the orginal X series due to being the first one everyone goes to so he should be included
X2 Wheel Gator
He has a cook stage but his fight should be tweaked to make up for his cook design
X3 Toxic Seahorse
Loads of people love this guy for some reason and so should be included
X4 Jet Stingray
He has the best vehicle stage in the franchise so he should be included
X5 Dark Dizzy
Not many dari based mavericks and he looks cool so that's why he is in
X6 Commander Yammark
The coolest maverick in my opinion you cant go wrong with dragonflies and his stage would use the acid rain and darkness gimmicks from X6
X7 Flame Hynard
The joke characters plus I think his fight would be much better in 2d
X8 Optic Sunflower
The sole light based maverick so he would make a unique pick in the roster

I'm making a mario and sonic platforming game crossover thread called Mario Blue the Eggman Enigma and Sonic Red the Koopa Katastrophe, but I'm terrible at making quotes and conversation highlighting the characters personalities, If anyone want to help with I'm open, it would be recommended that you know the more obscure characters as well (super paper mario mainly)
