I’d argue dark souls isn’t really all that much more subtle about its themes of depression than one of those “quirky indie RPGs about mental illness” people are always complaining about. Which isn’t a flaw, I think it’s a good thing.

Yes you can still consume media that have problematic elements but the whole thing with final fantasy 16 specifically choosing to not have non white characters honestly makes me really uncomfortable and not want to buy it at all. I don’t think this would be preferable to what we got but it would be interesting to see what Undertale would have been like if it was a more traditional turn based RPG without the bullet hell mechanics. I say this because that would have likely led to more people grinding and accidentally getting into the genocide route. I do like that you basically have to deliberately know what the genocide route is before you have to get it though and this might lead to an effect where the game is way too overly punishing for doing a normal thing you do in RPGs. Still it would be interesting to think about.
I had a dream dragon ball fighterz had an update where they added like ten free characters all from og dragon ball but you needed to be constantly online to play as them and I couldn’t since I didn’t have switch online (even though I do have that…). They also replaced all the stages with new ones that were actually really cool (since you know the dbfz stage roster sucks). I remember one in space with a cool nebula or something in the back and one that was completely pixelized and based on that SNES dragon ball z RPG.
Also in this dream I owned a yuyu hakusho shirt and it said some intelligible words on it that looked ai generated

Do people not realize Karl Marx was just a philosopher and wasn’t like literally Stalin or any other communist leader? I remember people in my class acting like it was some big outrage that they found the communist manifesto in our school library as if it’s not a historically significant piece of philosophy and literature which can influence politics even in a context outside of the ideology of communism. I guess they just kind of assumed Marx was advocating violence and it was equivalent to having mein kampf in a library but that’s far from the truth. The communist manifesto doesn’t say to put people in gulags or to disappear your enemies and any actual communist country was/is nothing like Marx actually wrote about in the book. I’m rambling but the point is the general consensus on Karl Marx is so dumb. I’m not even commenting on his philosophy, just saying what it was not.
Also someone thought they were clever to put trudeau’s autobiography next to the communist manifesto but they were both in a section basically dedicated to politics so it just looked like the library sorted their stuff wrong.
