Getsu Fuma Den is easily the most obscure third party series in Smash. The only ones that even come close to being as obscure as it are some of the SNK series like Athena (although that’s not as obscure given its connection to Psycho Soldier which is part of King of Fighters.
It’s also really obscure when it comes to Smash itself, since the series was just randomly added to the Dracula’s Castle stage despite not being part of the same series as Castlevania, and wasn’t even mentioned in Simon and Richter’s reveal (unless I just forgot about it). Many fans, including myself, didn’t even know it was in the game when Ultimate came out.
Just because the PS2 is over 20 years old now dosent mean I think it should be considered a “retro console” now. A console being considered “retro” should take into account how much the gaming industry has changed since it was made, not necessarily the age of the console
It says a lot about the quality of the Mother’s Basement youtube channel when you realize one of the best videos he made is a dumb april fools joke where he talks about Shrek like it’s an intense shonen anime series.
Nothing against the guy, I just really don’t like his content. Like, to give you a feel for what I don’t like about his writing style, I’ll just say one thing: this guy sometimes writes scripts for Matpat’s videos, and that general video style REALLY shows in his work.

I find it funny how Metal Gear Solid is pretty much just Metal Gear 2 again, and then Metal Gear Solid 2 is pretty much just Metal Gear Solid again.
For some weird reason the Did You Know Gaming video on Among Us plays Metal Gear Solid music of all things. It kind of makes sense seeing as how Among Us dosent have much of a soundtrack, and Polus kinda looks like Shadow Moses Island. It’s still a little weird though.
If I had to guess why they chose MGS of all things, it’s probably because the beginning of Snake Eater kind of sounds like the body reported jingle.

You ever think about how Fox and Terry pretty much have the same “Come on!” taunt? It’s weird because it’s the exact same motion and they’re pretty much saying the same thing.
Also Dante does the same thing in one of the DMC games, so if he got in he would probably have the same taunt

Sony is stuck in a weird position where people are complaining about PS5 having no games, and yet if they made any games PS5 exclusive, people would complain. I seriously saw some people complaining about FF7 Integrade not being on PS4. Like... what?

I really don’t understand how Cave Story is considered a Metroidvania. It maybe has light metroidvania elements but considering it a full-on Metroidvania really overestimates the amount of exploring you do in the game. It’s still a great game though.
Trying to get all the stars in the later levels of Super Mario 64 like Rainbow Cruise is just as difficult as getting all the blue coins in Sunshine IMO

Nintendo should charge a Zelda remaster for like 40 or 30 dollars instead of 60 and see if it actually does better than remasters worth full price. It could very well happen that more people would be willing to buy a cheaper game!
Each of the anime styled characters we’ve been getting for Smash DLC are pretty exciting on their own, but it’s honestly a little hard to get excited for them when they’re being so oversaturated. I really don’t like admitting this though, since someone like Joker or Sephiroth were really hype announcements.
The Nintendo Switch is officially -1 years away from turning 3!
