Erm but yeah wifi is wifi... lots of craziness ensues! I've had desyncing happen to me a lot recently - especially against NTSC wiis - lots of SDs all over the place.

I've had a suspiciously high number of desyncs too lately. On FD, I'm pretty sure it's my stage texture (Stormy Destination.... the not-fixed version), but my other stages have been fine until recently. ;-;
