I got 2nd at the Big House, but I split with Lovage. That's a win in my book

I decided to consider The Big House as just an almost-national. That way I have something to work towards for the next one, hehe.

yeah, yeah...we all miss darkrain. =(

and that one golden day when he teamed with silent spectre and owned teams....

i think ss is probably the best teams falcon player. (oh wait i forgot about isai....) isn't he considered like the best team player in his days?

=====

ON a related note on falcons and international tournaments.

A lot of you falcon players here on falcon boards have showed interest for Canada's first international melee tournament: Impulse.

So far, juggleguy and scar have shown interest. It'd be soo cool if you guys came, I can definitely house you guys. (Unless some really weird thing happens like my parents died or something in which case there'd be some awkward paperwork to sort out...*knock on wood*)

Falcon board hospitality.

here's looking @ u s2j!!!!!!!! less LoL and more melee!

Was this back when Darkrain was on fire and won back-to-back large-scale tournaments?
No, you're probably talking about Tipped Off 4 (January 2009) and SMYM9 (February 2009) that Darkrain won. Those were two super impressive victories for sure, but neither tourney can really be considered a national when you look at the regional diversity at each of them.

Darkrain's victory at SMYM12 is more impressive, but I think Johnny getting top 2 at The Big House is even better.

@ Windrose: housing would be awesome!!

Dark rain is in the south? What? I heard his fiance played falco. I wonder how that works out in the marriage. :troll:

Windrose. Come to The Netherlands.

Windrose going to netherlands is not as significant as jeapie coming to north america.

Does jeapie not know how to play falcon in ntsc? :troll:

Also, I can't speak french, or german, or dutch...whatever it is you guys speak there. But I am a big fan of european dota teams.

You can take care in most European countries by speaking English.
We got Orion over here ( a good brawl player who is interested in melee ) who follows a musicstudy in the Netherlands. He`s from NY. No troubles for him for not being able to speak dutch =)

anyway how about setting a goal for us falcons to win the next big national.
Or talk about Tope since no falcon can beat him `trollface*

It's not rocket science.
As much as I appreciate a good snide remark about Americans and their knowledge about European geography, the part about the Netherlands speaking Dutch isn't immediately obvious, and he might have been thinking of Belgium, where they do speak all 3 languages he mentioned depending on what region you live in, as well as several regional dialects like Flemish.

Are you going to Smashers' Reunion, Jeapie?

to do so, you need to come to north america!! I think hax comes close to beating tope. especially in that money match, hax was doing very well...it definitely looked like he had upper hand most of the time and then tope just did tope things.

Yeah!! This guy understands me...person with line through the letter O. I'm actually from Canada, but nevertheless I don't know much about European geography beyond where UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the rest are just a blur. I kind of know where netherlands is i think...it's north.

Anyways, speaking of Canada, you european players should come to Canada's first INTERNATIONAL tournament in June this year.

I was mostly kidding.

As Jeapie said, most europeans can speak english so communicating wouldn't be a problem.

Can't believe I wasted my 2000th post on that.

Darkrain is going to a tourney in Chicago on 3/3, and I'm gonna be there too! Hopefully we can record a lot of his matches so everyone can get their annual (>_>) dose of Darkrain
