Actually, Armada was showin' off a nifty Dtilt-->Usmash combo at Pound4. I don't remember the percent range, but I'm pretty sure it was a guaranteed combo AND kill.

Yea d-tilt definitely combos into u-smash. I think u-throw does too.

if you get a dtilt, you can probably do better things than usmash, imo. it's definitely not the best option there, though it is a way to use usmash.

And when I say he was showing it off at Pound4, I meant against COMPETENT players.

Who DI everything.

So either it takes them by surprise, or it IS a guaranteed combo

But the only way I've hit Uthrow->Usmash is against computers. At 0% with no DI and a missed tech, it's a sweetspot. I don't think Uthrow works on humans

You can def DI dtilt, but you'd have to expect it. I often look for dtilt > usmash on high percentages where I'm looking for a kill (not everyone, spacies and falcon's). Though sometimes my first instinct when I catch an dtilt is usmash at a certain height w/ no DI lawl.

Cris you should try to branch off of dtilt -> upsmash imo.

Not that its not good or anything, but since you're so comfortable using it (Being dtilt) I think you should explore it in other situations. Especially low percents where you could easily land a grab.

dtilt -> fair/nair into stuff

I do it on low percentages yea. My fav combo used to be dtilt to nair on spacies way back when. I should start using it again or grab. Dtilt dash attack too is good on certain percentages. But there are some bad/odd habits I get into like...ya know TECHING IN PLACE everytime your homo Marth back throws me XD!

But of course I also love to use dtilt for shield pressure too :3

i get dtilt > upsmash a lot, it's just bad to call it guarenteed as there are many different senarios that can happen, cause people DI it by accident, or if you are mango, you DI it up so i can't dtilt > uair at killing percnet

If I dtilt I usually do it into a late bair into grab or just combo off of it vs spacies/midweights at mid percents, and marth at like 20-30. I dtilt spiked in tournament and felt so cool.
