"dude I've never played melee, but I'm pretty sure brawl is 20x better than it" -one guy from a group of guys huddled around the Wii in my schools library, -_-'

This statement confuses me. Why would a Melee player want to use the two campiest characters in Brawl?Brawl is a good casual game. But thats it. Nothing else.
Olimar and Rob are hella fun to play, but I'm not gonna win because my opponent can just pick MK and destroy me.
LOL. That's too goodbut pichu does suck...
Only when you're using him Taj.Mewtwo is overpowered.
*cough*Mewtwo is overpowered.
Taj will crush you. Tread lightly around a player of that caliber.*cough*
I CHALLENGE YOU TO A D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DUEL!
I would duel Taj. No joking about it. (I'd get 5 stocked but whatever...) lol^lolz. I think he knows who Taj is. Everyone does <.<;; I believe it was a joke.
...Taj will crush you. Tread lightly around a player of that caliber.
Mewtwo is just akward and light. If he was a little heavier and had a D-Smash that hit on two sides he would probably be higher on the tier list.
Sonic = Brawl."Sonic is the best character in Melee," and
"Fox is way faster than Captain Falcon."
Depending on what he means, it could actually be true. Fox has the fastest jump in the game, is the fastest faller, and generally has faster attacks."Fox is way faster than Captain Falcon."
lol made my day.chudat recently held a tournament and gets zero to death chain grabbed by a ic player, (no not me)
he then says to neo and omni, "is that what ive been really been doing to people this whole time in melee"
neo/omni - YESSSSS
he then bands ic infinites in his brawl tourneys LOL
People actually buy those guides? I thought they were just there as last minute presents that parents buy and think they're so original. From a Prima guide: "Be afraid of Mewtwo, his shadow balls make him one of the most devastating foes in all of Melee!"
From the same guide: "Luigi's fireballs move vertically which means they're much more useful than Mario's. Expect to use them more often!"
Haha, I have the Prima guide for Smash 64 still. I don't recall what they said about Jiggly's rest, though.People actually buy those guides? I thought they were just there as last minute presents that parents buy and think they're so original.
I actually bought the guide for SSB 64 because the competitive scene was so big back then.
And that was back when the people that ran these guides didn't know what Jiggly's rest did.
Quoting this from the SBB 64 BradyGames Guide.Haha, I have the Prima guide for Smash 64 still. I don't recall what they said about Jiggly's rest, though.
That quote sounds very familiar.Quoting this from the SBB 64 BradyGames Guide.
"Never press down and 'b' with Jigglypuff. Just don't. Jigglypuff will fall asleep. What this move has to do with fighting, we'll never know. Don't say we didn't warn you."
Any other Melee guide quotes?
Did you ever have the BradyGames guide? I just found mine and stumbled on the Jigglypuff section. That quote sounds very familiar.
