I'm looking for a good
Wii game with online
play thats fun
and enjoying, besides BRAWL.

??
Strikers is a good online game.
Batallion Wars is fun, but you'll need to play through single player first before trying online, or else you'll lose miserably XD.

Hyper Mode isn't that hard...
Any ideas for a game to occupy myself until the DSi comes out?
Crash Bandicoot 2.
Even if it means buying a PSone as well you'll have a load of fun with it.

Does anyone have MadWorld? How does it compare to No More Heroes? I'm thinking about renting it if I can (I've heard it's only 7 hours wtf).

I'm starting to think that I just have bad taste in videogames.

When Assassin's Creed came out, it was the game I got with the 360. I liked it. I mean, there were bland moments and the long *** 'here fight a thousand bad guys' part was pretty tacked on...but overall, I really liked it. The critics, however, did not. The metacritic score is 80 which is honestly what I would give it too, but the game industry pretty much grades on a system that uses a 60 curve.

And then Mirror's Edge came out, a game I was excited about since I saw the trailer only to see it not do so hot with critics. Finally got around to trying it out...and I liked it. A lot. It was gorgeous and incredibly fun. Once again, there were problems with it but it was still definitely worth playing.

Either way, I'd suggest Mirror's Edge to you if you haven't played it, simply because it's gorgeous and fresh: you haven't done what Mirror's Edge makes you do in any other game, certainly not recently.

[Edit:]

And he's right, Peggle will absolutely consume you.

Meh, critics, shcmitics, I say. Everyone has different tastes in opinion -- it's why I enjoyed Sonic '06 (and I'm not a Sonic fanboy at all, mind you). I love Mirror's Edge, too. I think the largest issue is that whereas books, movies, and the like...the reviewer tends to get the full experience. Video games can be endless and reviewers can only delve so deep. I was actually pretty disappointed with Mirror's Edge after I first got it, but now I love it. I liked it before, but once you've gotten through the campaign once and go and do it again, and know what you're doing, you can move quickly. The game is at its best when you are going quickly, when you're just running. There are plenty of generic 3D platformers out there. There are few 1st-person platformers. And I have NEVER played a game which gave me such an amazingly immersive feeling as Mirror's Edge did -- the speed makes that all the more enriching.

I would recommend Mirror's Edge a thousand times, keeping in mind that you may enjoy the game a lot more the second time around. The first level is still golden no matter what, in my opinion -- I've played it, literally, more than 100 times. I played the demo at LEAST once daily until I got my hands on the game -- most of the time more.

In non-critical discussion, Killzone 2 is on sale at Amazon!

So my question is, Killzone for $52, or LittleBigPlanet for $40?

Also, what's coffee got to do with it?

I'm on a drought of video games....

I would just love a recommendation for a nice, long, hard, good game for the PC. Maybe even DS.
I just am so bored with what I'm doing now. I'm also really tired of MMORPG's so I'm not really looking for that.

If you can just think of a game you are having fun with now, it would be much appreciated if you could swing it by me. I'm bored.

WaterTails, it really depends on your tastes.

Killzone 2 is a great FPS, it's online is really fun and it's single player is enertaining too, but we all know FPS = online.

LBP is a platformer, and they say its very good too, so I guess its a win-win situation.

Depends on what you've played. Mass Effect is an amazing game if you haven't tried that yet.

Hmm, I know all about Mass Effect but I never played. That might work! Thanks!
As for Pokemon Platinum, of course, I'll beat that. My Pokemon tradition.

RE5...why did you do what you did?

/weeps

But really, I dunno. I'm pretty sure I've given my thoughts on Dead Space and RE4 before and from what I've seen of RE5, there's really not too much difference.

RE5 is coop oriented, Dead Space is actually a horror game?

Both RE5 and Dead Space are horror games. If your really into co-op games and have XBox Live, go for it. The Computer AI is okay, but not great. If your into single player gameplay, go with Dead Space. Both are great games. You can't really go wrong either way. :)

How is Guilty Gear Dust Strikers for DS? I saw it for $7.50 after mail-in-rebate at FYE, and 10 bucks used at Gamestop. I've heard good things about Guilty Gear and was very tempted to pick it up especially since the price was so low, but that low price made me wonder if it was any good so I decided to check online first. It looks pretty fun, a little like smash.

In short, Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, Bleach Dark Soul, or Bleach Blade of Fate.
Which is the best DS fighter?

I think I'm just going to order Jump Ultimate Stars.

I'm looking for a game with a large competitive community that uses survival matchtypes. In other words, large free-for-alls where victory is given to the last man standing. I want to join a competitive community that holds tournaments of that style, preferably for money prizes. Advice?

halo. they have free-for-alls where the guy with the most kills win, that might help you.

Hey, i got a couple questions.

First one, which games do you guys recommend for the original xbox? (bedsides halo)

and the second one, do they still have Xbox Live for the original Xbox? thanks

Hey guys, I recently saw the review for NBA 2K9 and liked it. So, I bought it off of Ebay for 24 bucks. Was it a mistake? I should have come to this thread first.

Is NBA Live 2009 better?

That's close, but unfortunately not quite what I'm looking for. Although I kinda wonder why we don't have anything like that for smash.

What I'm looking for specifically is a game that puts a lot of emphasis on surviving the longest, maybe not all that strong on the combat even. Anything like that?

BTW, no advice on original Xbox games. Sorry, but I'm not to familiar with them.

EDIT: If I have a PS3, I'm getting Versus, and not XIII.

ever thought of an MMORPG? those types of games, you need to survive the longest and have the strongest troops or something like that.

That's not an MMORPG you're thinking of, I don't think. I think you're thinking of RTS's.

OK...I come searching for a game.

I'm looking for a multiplayer RPG played on the PC, preferably through Steam. NOT an MMO. Something closer to Neverwinter Nights than to World of Warcraft.

Thoughts?

[Edit:]

I don't wanna thread hijack, so I'm just going to edit my post.

Diablo II would work, except I just played through it again with my roommate, probably less than 3 months ago.

Any other ideas?

So guys, I present you with my dilemma. I have been playing Melee for years. Its a great game! Its incredibly deep, and you don't really STOP getting better at it. However, it has been 8 years since I started playing Melee. I love it and will never stop playing it, but I also need another deep and tactical game that I could enjoy alongside Fuhror Melee. So any reccomendations of deep video games of any genre that have great replayability, let me know. The only one that comes to mind right away is Guilty Gear X... I'm not just looking for fighters, btw.

@ Airwalkerr: There's Street Fighter, but I'm assuming you've already thought of that.

There's also Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead...but to be honest, none of them seem to have the replayability of Melee.

I'd suggest looking into TF2 if you can. It's a ton of fun and there's enough variation that you won't get bored too quickly, even if it isn't as great as Melee.

(I've put well over 500 hours into TF2. :-D)
