I actually haven't even talked to Josh =D
But yeah go with Mic dude, I'll be able to grab someone easy enough.

Oh and I feel many people are failing to miss the point here, pools for when the scene is larger or nationals, as of now it's not needed.

Wow this whole doubles thing has gone crazy, okay so I believe this is how it is now.
Jesse and Jupz are out of town
Mic + Vlade
Me + Rick
Josh + David (one of his friends, he's a bit weird but try to be nice :p)

B bracket is a fantastic idea with pools, and it should be used when pools are however the point of pools is to cut down time our scene is nor large enough atm to warrant pools. We've had no problems with standard double elimination in the past, so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Ok someone tell me now have you ever vsed either Sam, Ric, Vlade then went into Loser bracket and vsed either Sam, Ric, Vlade. Tell us now and we will see how many times that has happened then maybe seeding would be good. The only problem i find with pools is this:
Last tournament I got Vlade (2nd place) and Trill (4th place)... That's as bad as it's been for me so far... If I get a ****ty first round I usually get someone of my skill level in my first Loser's bracket match (for some reason :p)

I realise this discussion is pretty much over, but I'd like to say that Pools for me would be nice, as I'd be guaranteed to get more matches than I am currently... But that's a selfish reason - ruining the whole tournament because I want more tourney matches isn't right xD

Just putting in my two cents, adding to the fifty-two I've already added on this topic xD

Good thing the Church is booked.

My driving lesson went ok today. Just stuffing up when it comes down to a turn and changing down a gear while about to do that turn. But few more lessons i'll get the hang of it. I always stuff up going down from 3rd to 2nd but at the end of the lesson i got it.

Thanks for uploading some matches Muzga. Lol @ the Commentary.

Edit: Is that Shaya who keeps saying CHRIST. I wonder what would happen if someone said that, that many times at the tourney this sunday in the church lol.

You know what that 'watching videos' talent of yours could be used for, Jupz? My blog. :p Its awfully embarrassing when you do a community thing and practically no one responds. :(

am I the only one who thinks mics new avatar looks somewhat like kane?
LoL?

Think the general consensus is that it looks like Graham, and imo Graham and I look pretty different lol.

Heard your last meet rocked the casbah, Felix said you got a good turn out. Keep it up man and ACT will have to be classified as it's own region.

Haha he definitely got the trial by fire from proxy and I, so he got to a decent level in about 2 or 3 days of play lol.

Keep looking after him, he's pretty much a natural gamer, he'll be good practise for you in no time.

Oh man if you haven't watched Muzga's uploaded videos i highly recommend everyone to watch them_ WA for best smack talkers imo_ The best part is his 3rd match against S.D where Graeme shouts "YEAH THAT'S RIGHT THROW THE CONTROLLER!!" is by far the funniest moment alongside the obvious dismay in Shaya's voice_ Pure gold guys_ Incredible matches also ;)

EDIT: Thanks for clarifying it Scoot_ Voice of the people you know i love it_

You shouldn't b-stick because you can't SDI anymore... And you can't do smashes quickly, which is kinda important since the aim of the game is to hit people long distances...

---> Sick of playing Brawl against AI :(

You have a point Jesse but it's still weighing out pro's and Con's of it.
Alot of Ness' (not sure about Lucas, I'd assume the same) techs rely on B Sticking, and it defiantly helped in trials against Bob and Graeme.

Yet you lose the ability to Smash DI, something I barely remembered to use anyway, and the Smash thing I've been in debates before with a small circle of friends *****ing about Josh spamming Up Smash with Zelda via C Stick in which I proved with proper timing you can do it equally as quickly with regular smash input.

So unless I learn to Smash DI I don't see much use on giving it up (Just me :p)

depending on your character SDI is either really good, or absolutely essencetial, now I wont tell you how to play, thats your decision, but I will tell you that being able to SDI is far far superior to what you can do with B sticking.

Well, Ness is a different character to Lucas I guess... Still, I just got fed up with being too incompetent to do a simple two button input for a forward smash, so I decided to try other ways to get my Zap Jump... GIven that I'd use ZJ about 3 times in an entire set, I think it's a fair trade...

I dunno... I'm probably shooting myself in the foot after using B-stick all this time, but we'll see at the next smash meet... Hopefully there'll be a smashfest before the next tournament after the 10th :p

I do have to say though, I AM SICK OF ****ING TRIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What scoot and luke said. Also I still like playing the brawl AI. I mainly just go on training and **** around with random characters though which is annoying cause I can use the whole of A and S tier but I only use DDD and occasionally Meta in tourney lol.

Vlade can I come over tomorrow?

Yeah QCDI is more effective anyways

It's still good to have c-stick set to smash though purely because it should be used for aerials due to the fact you can di while using the aerial, meaning it is easier to space aerials.

QCDI = Quarter Circle DI???

And if there's anyone here that uses L as Jump, is there any easier way to do shorthops with it??? I've been using my finger on the bottom ridge of the shoulder button and rolling it off to do SHs, but I find it's really hit and miss (though for some reason I lack the ability to do SHs by holding the button correctly... *sigh*)

Okay, that's not what I meant :p

I know how it works, but I'm not able to release it that quickly (which could just be my ******** finger, or it could be the nature of the button - that is what I'm not sure of... I'm assuming it's the latter until I get response from other L Jump users saying "you're a ******" or something like that :p)... So I'm wondering if there is an optimal place to press the button (such as the top or bottom ridge) or some other method to press it that'll allow for more consistent SHs...

I use Y to Jump and X to grab.

I managed to DI out of Zelda's Up smash online. I don't know how to DI or SDI but some how i still manage to do it.

I don't see why not :p It's still a shoulder button (though, I haven't tried R for jump because I use it for shield... if it's because my left finger is ******** then using R for jump might be my solution...)
