Dang I went to Dallas :(
I could try, but the audio would likely be screwed up.

I'm gonna do some test things and see if cutting the video quality would improve the choppy and audio problems, and if the videos are okay then I'll record and upload anyone's replays.

Does anyone still record replays and put up the vid files for downloading?
I can do them provided that my Wii doesn't desync the files.

Considering that I barely play brawl, I just mainly do editing and upload files nowadays. If ppl wanted a main source for uploading, I'd do it so long as it's not an extreme amount of videos.

Sweet, and thank you. There are only three I believe that are pikachu in this batch, it's just our wii is temporarily unavailable due to our roommate hacking it so I can't check. They should be pikachu vs snake (though there might be a pika vs marth in there and I would appreciate that one up as well if it's there). You can upload peach if you want, but obviously only pika ones is just fine.

His SD aside, you were actually doing all right once you stopped letting him beat you with the same thing over and over lol. Felt like you gave up near the very end though, which I don't understand.

That's for first match only..... watching two Brawl matches in a row is too much for me. ;;

Good thing I have Pit for that kid, lol. I commend thee for the skull bash at 8:13. Also nice fsmash read for the kill game 1, and scar>fsmash on bf.

Thanks PKChris! I feel like I play my best when I'm either playing as flashy as possible, or as campy and boring as possible :p

Roller believe me, I've asked 1000000 times, it's not gonna happen... Next year I move out and get to make my own decisions though ;)

my dream last night consisted of me going to Apex.... True story.

I'm content with winning/getting top 3 locals though, with the occasional trip to Washington. I think if I attend a national it'll be a genesis anyways, since that'd be so much cheaper just to drive to.

Me :pikachu2: vs. Fino :olimar:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dficUP05KYg#t=56s for THE MOST FUN PART

I recorded like 3 or 4 hrs of friendlies w/ Fino, I'll try to upload more but I liked this one for that moment. Plus it was easy to find since it was at the end XD. I'm open to critique in either the match-up or in general. I know I have a really easy to read air dodging habit that I'm working on, but any other habits you pick up on or punishes I missed that weren't obv technical errors don't hesitate to point out! Thanks :D

Yay, you did the ftilt thing.

Stop running in and grabbing, especially dash grab.

Damn it stop dash grabbing, first stock.

You should work on what you're suppose to do when oli is offstage without his jump an-oh, nevermind.

Although these trades/close fighting is pretty good, you need to not be so aggressive, because he's doing stupid stuff instead of murdering you like he could be.

Pay attention to his pikmin as well, keep your distance when he has yellows up so he'll throw them at you, so you can kill it. From my experience, the olimar won't catch on if you are subtle about when you approach. Do the same thing with purples to try and kill them.

Don't land on him, that's bad. Whether from FH jolt, or coming down from a hit, just avoid him and work a different way of approaching than just landing on him.

Don't QA through olimar either, unless he screws up and does a move early and you happen to catch it.

Don't Downair the ground.

Uthrow>Thunder is cute. Too bad you wasted the only one you get while EVER playing brawl.

You downaired into the ground again.

I also noticed you got the tag right this time.
And stop stealing my video titles.

I think I want to start watching everyone's videos again and give them the bland, terrible advice they could get by likely going into a MU thread from 2009.

dairing into the ground is ok, though probably less so in this MU.

learn to dthrow buffer nair. It works in almost every MU, 20+% per grab. If oli jumps and isnt throwing a purple you have a pretty free approach. Dont let oli scare you. Learn to land and dont be as erractic just bc you have pikmin on you.

I dunno, it's hard to critique videos well. There are so many things you can mention that won't really help someone improve, but only a few things that you can mention that will. Smash is weird like that. Any help I get is appreciated though =)

Well, you seemed to have the Marth's number for the most part, but a couple things I did notice.

1) Marth's Up-B disrupts a lot of pseudo combos. I think f-throw to up smash works at 10% or so, but at 0% he can and did up-B you a couple times. Try baiting it with a shield out of F-throw to mix it up a bit.

2) I felt you weren't using thunder and jolts too much. Sure, you aren't likely to lock down most opponents with jolts, but there's no real reason not to fire them off when you have space for that extra damage. Also, there didn't seem to be a whole ton of variety in how you'd use thunder to edge guard. Mix it up a bit, jump offstage and do it out there so they can't snap to the edge. Multiple thunders, wave bounces... there's a few tricks Pikachu can pull.

(However, as ESAM will testify, don't fastfall.)

But yeah, overall you were pretty much dominating the marth, so I don't have too much to add.

Thanks bro. Appreciate the comments. Ya i noticed i used absolutely zero b-reverse thunders for limiting options when recovering. Can someone confirm the fthrow stuff? It seemed like when i got up-b it was cuz i missed the buffer window but it'd be good to know when it's guaranteed.

Anyone tips vs zss?

Pika?
Don't get Down-smashed. If they aren't spamming D-smash, **** them on the ground.

F-throw u-smash doesn't work on Marth at 0%. I know that if you F-throw once and then get another grab right after (due to read or whatever) you can then U-smash him after that one.
