Last time i played online was against Beaver one month ago,I had also some timing problems during those matchs like DI,Plateform Cancel,combos including grabs etc... first time I played against Sonic too xD [/epic john]

Match 1
Sonic's uair is disjointed so I suggest you either get away from when he is trying to go for a star ko or just dodge at the right time.
Some of your usmashes couldve been easily punished but I guess they worked alright for you.
The way you use pika's nair is just something I don't see everyday.
You need to work on cging sonic obviously and good reads/mixups.
I think you couldve used thunder edgegaurds sometimes cuz his recovery is vulnerable to them and he cant really do anything about them.
I dont QAC<utilt will ever work offline.

Idk why you move away from the opponent when you bair if you dont try to hit them with it you will get hit.
Some of your moves shouldnt have been land cancelled.
You eat fsmashes too much lol
Match 3
If you get a dthrow on him usmash and nair only work up to 50 or 60 percent maybe?
The stage may be weird for fh dairs but you can sh dairs too.
When facing a character without projectiles I tend to use tjolt more regardless how aggressive id like to be.

Sh fair approaches him wont work anymore sense he knows up B ***** it.
Your buffers after dthrow need a little work.
If your going to try for a read after dthrow at high percents you should limit his options a bit more maybe pivot fsmash or dsmash instead.
When you tried utilt<grab I think it be best for a boost pivot grabbed instead of dash grab.
Dont run away until you made contact with his shield if your spacing correctly.
Match 2
Space better with your camp.

Cam your bair spacing shows the true fun of the move congrats.
Your grabs are just fails try to keep it out of your mind until the time comes when it is needed.
I kinda like wut your doing with qac on your last stocked really changed things.
I fill onstage thunders are horrible whenever using it after utilt or dsmash it may be ok to thunder anyway you want but outside that jumping with it seems more preferred.
Your setups after uair couldve been more versatile but im really impressed by your improvements toward the end also work on your buffers.

I often wonder why ppl dont use thunder for other things or nairs freely.

Hey all,

After getting back into brawl after meleeing for some time, I decided that it would be best for me to switch mains in brawl. And I decided to go with Pika =) I have some vids here from some recent wifi matches (sorry! will film offline when I get the chance!). Since I'm new to the character, it would be helpful if y'all could give me some general ideas about what I'm doing right and what I need to change with my Pika. The lag on the first two vids isn't bad, but the third is pretty slow. There's more vids on the channel if you want to take a look at those too.

Just follow the grime...
Only got a chance to watch a very tiny bit before I go to work, but learn to auto cancel your dairs. It will help you immensely. And if you hit a sheild with fair, don't just fast fall it, DI back away from them. You're just asking to get shieldgrabbed the way you're doing it.

u mean then bomb fiasco? i have another clip were siri peach picked up 4 or 5 bombs out her little bag in 1 minute.. it was crazy. he kept pickin out bombs and those big lazer thingys :)

You can get one regrab with F-throw. You can end up like...f-throw f-throw u-smash or f-throw d-throw nair.

Interesting. Any special requirement for it (e.g. boost grab, have to run for $X frames before the grab because it can't be buffered, etc)?

What's the proper escape for it in case they mess it up?

It would be closer to the timing of CGing Sonic or ZSS, and jump away would be the best option.

ill critique in a little dealing with some dumb credit card bs lol

man i dont even know where to begin... that rob wasnt that good. ROB is an incredibly linear character, when he is in the air you can tell by where he is facing what hes gonna do. every one of his aerials are easily punished -unless you are above him and he uairs you-. in the pikachu matchup he really wants to stay grounded, gyro + laser can really mess with a lot of pikachus shenanigans, which this rob hardly ever gyrod. on the ground you just gotta get the timing down to psheild his ftilt and jab and its easy to get in. usually rob has his really damn good dtilt to get us out, but again the rob didnt use any dtilt :x against this particular rob you would do what you needed to do for awhile but then you camped instead of hitting him aggressively and he brought it back by poking you. also he has a bad habit of spamming bair + nair when trying to kill. both can shield poke, but as long as you can predict the direction the hitbox will land on you, it is fairly easy to adjust and block it. most people dont do that though. really imo you made this a LOT harder on yourself by flat out camping. he was playing really aggressive, and aggressive rob is really REALLY bad, shield -> grab or nair all day on that ****. this is a really easy matchup for pika imo, you just gotta know how to play it to shut down his game.


also just remembered fair ***** robs blind spot

sorry for rambling a bit, i find it hard to make coherent flowing paragraphs, hence my hatred of all writing classes

more edit: when rob is recorving, he is real vulnerable to thunder due to his no airdodge recovery, and we can force him to wait longer out of range. we can grab the ledge, force him high, thunder or punish his landing and knock him back off. as long as you dont chase offstage, and stay on the ledge or onstage rob cant do much. killing rob, utilt to thhunder is godly on him at the right percent, and nair kills well. you had the right usmash reads going but they didnt kill =[

Just saying now that I hate how people roll or spotdodge when they know you shield first before the evasion move so if you are trying to evade an attack its better for the ps instead<.<

Yeah, Mekos got a **** ton better. He is by far the best lucas (I have played all of the other ones besides FAE)
