I'm dyslexic, I'm bad at getting my thoughts out of my mind on to paper.

Unless its in music, it doesn't affect the right(creative) side of your mind.

I'll try and proof read over my posts more.

Thats by far the best ive seen you play scatty.
nice.
Man. I felt like I played like ****. I didn't save all the matches where he JV 3'd me on Smashville (he PSed 95% of my eggs on SV even with me mixing it up).

why are you playing cyan.........
Got a problem with my playing Cyan? I like going different colors now that I don't play seriously consistently. I went Gold in other friendlies.

Friendlies? Okay was wondering why you were doing a few dumb moments.
Such as? It's not like I get to practice, or experiment, or get MU knowledge on a consistent basis.

You play very Aggressive. You should camp more, in the first videos vs. Peach, you threw like 5 eggs. Your eggs are good, but you didn't use enough of them. Run to the other side of the stage, and then egg.
What controller do you use?

The biggest thing I noticed was how much you use your smash attacks. You want to save those for when you're ready to kill, because if you use them a ton, they get weaker. When it gets "Stale" then it has less knockback and deals less percent. Your tilts and jabs were good, but if you saved your smashes till he was at kill percents (lets say 120%+) then you'd be a lot better off.

Mr. G&W:
Your yoshi looks clunky and predictable, with no apperant reads or mindgames or anything of that sort. Seems like you are going through options tbh, not really making smart choices a lot of the time. I never really saw any empty air dodges, no mixups in approaching with egg lay, or any of that. I would watch some of the good yoshis and see how they mix up their approaches, condition opponents, and dont simply rotate through yoshis good options when the situation is good. I would also keep playing against good players, ask for advice when you lose, and keep studying how they play the game, not just the options they use. your skills as a player could use a lot of work, before yoshi. Just look at all the times you got hit, and ask whether he did anything to force you to get hit in those situations, whether with a read or a frame trap, or whether it was just a move thrown out that hit you.

Hope that helps and is not too disheartening :p We all started there.

Thanks.
Yeah, the issue is that the Dallas scene is the nearest scene to me, and it's about 2 hours away.
So I go to like, a tourney every other month, because it becomes over a 100 dollar trip to get 13th of 29.

I'm trying to start a smash scene in my city, we have 4 or 5 competitive players, so we kinda have a start, but not really. There no good venues here.

That being said, I also did a lot worse that match. If I can get a match with someone I go pretty even with and play well, you'll be able to see how my Yoshi really works.

But that's the first competitive pika I've ever fought, so I was garb at the MU.
Thanks for the advice though.

Delta-cod come tell my why I suck.

I'm completely okay with burntsocks, that was also what I found on this video. Good luck then =)

I really need some advices please, I HATE that MU as it is considered as really doable, thanks =)
that was pretty good fighting. I'd recommend usage of the nair and bair a little more against ZSS. The egg usage was Great a lot more than what i've done.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKu1s1mvjAA Check out the first match on this link. I fight ZSS here

G&W can u play wifi?
Not that it is a replacement for offline, but if u are limited its a nice way to get playing time and MU experience against a variety of people, many of whom are pretty good.
ill get u later aura.

+100 000 to that
Wi-fi suxx but helped me a lot by practicing MUs, reflexes and mindgamed. That's why I won't stop wi-fi for the moment, when there's a green ball connection, I appreciate the matchs :)

DemonicDragon93 :
Of the problems I've seen :
You're able to mindgame very well but you sometimes really loses patience. For example, against the Mario on last video and last stock, you just spammed all your different killmoves until he goes into one of yours. And you lost all your advance you had with this problem. Just be patient and punish, Mario is not that hard to trap into a killmove.
You should use more eggs also, that helps a lot preparing a good and fresh killmove on the opponent.
So more defensive and more safe, I think that with these two things you will have a really better progress

Against Peach :
- Really more eggs (that is probably the best option with Super Armor Nair in this MU)
- Less down-B you use it really too much and thats risky (if you missed your Down-B at 1:45 you lost your stock ; Dthrow to Down-B you could be hardly punished than a turnip = you had risk to lose another stock ; 3:06 same thing)
- Diversify your edgeguard, you use way too much Fairs

GGs for the matchs thought and hope those advices will help you =)

Mr. game and watch :
I just forgot something so I post it know, your DI is correct but momentum cancel is absent, just use Uair instead of airdodge, and then fastfall. If the DI is very close, doule jump just after you've fastfall

I have a nasty habit of clenching my controller when I DI, which is why you saw him getting downB KO on me a few times. He'd hit me up, I'd spot dodge, and he'd punish it.
I really need to break that habbit:/

But my DI is pretty good cause I used to main puff.

I wanna see what delta has to say too!
Deltaaaaa

Edit; also I can't play wifi cause my Internet suuuuuucks

Too wifi laggy, no point in critiquing really. Dont down b in the air unless its a spot where they cant punish. Dont spam kill moves. Try to read OOS options more. Try to not run into dsmash where u dont have to, ZSS dsmash is a lame move to get hit by.

No thats complimenting. Im trying to constructively criticize so that you get better and dont feel content with where you are, cuz you shouldnt if you want to be a good competitor.
I dont have time to say all the stuff he did right. If there was something that particularly stood out to me that was good i tell people.
Its not that everything is bad, but i dont need to tell someone that they know how to use bair effectively.
If you ask for compliments i will compliment you :p If you dont want me to be harsh i wont either. and ya i am harsh but im just telling it how i see it. If someone sees glaringly wrong things with my yoshi i dont want them to sugarcoat it and tell me im doing great when im being predictable as hell with spotdodges.

Makes sense. Nothing i can about the Wifi-lag what very little there was with these matches. I'm on lan connection it's the best it's gonna get for me. I hope to have some smash matches this friday. I'm going to one in Nashville. and the last tournament i went to in Memphis, TN, I ranked 8th of 23 only playing as yoshi.

Lol scatz

Socks, I mean more like
"you're eggs are good, I'd like to see more of those, and you got some hard reads, but you were too predictable in your jumping patterns. And you should probably use more retreating back air, and less SH Dair because it can't AC when you SH it :/
You used egg lay effectively, they didn't expect it, but you should follow up with an egg toss, or another egglay if you wanna :troll:"

^thats a great critique, and would be very helpful to someone. They got an idea of what to do less, what to do more, and what to keep doing, and THAT will make you a better player.

Also, delta, take your time. I can't go to many tournies so its meh.

I liked your use of bair as an approach, but would have liked to see you not use an aerial every time. Mix in some short hop airdodges to keep your opponent on their toes, as well as some aerial egg lay to beat the shield option. I would have liked some more analysis of your opponents habits and patterns, as it seemed like you were more focused on yourself. You could improve your control of the character as well, and I would recommend going into training mode and practicing your DJC egg lays and stuff so you know exactly where yoshi is going to be when u input certain things, so that you can focus on the opponent, which is an important next step. I was able to easily see when you were about to use many moves, because it seemed like there was a delay between when you thought of it and when you did it.

How is that?
and thank you for the critique of my critiques, but dont be picky mate. Take the advice if u want it, if not then let it be.
That critique u gave would be good if someone was good and was just doing a few things wrong, but if someone is having broader issues, id say point it out to them and let them do what they will.

I like Socks' critique. It's effective and to the point. I also agree with his philosophies on giving compliments.

I disagree with the Down B thing, though. Sometimes using Down B to reach the ground is worth the small punish to recover your jump and 5 eggs.

Was going through old results threads to see when was the last time I played a Peach main, and it lead me to a spur-of-the-moment tournament results thread from around last year.
I found two videos of me playing the 13 Year old Prodigy. (Megafox)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2B8C6lQT2U
Outside of my controller not registering right (Whenever I accidently F-tilt instead of Jump to U-Air, or double jump just not working in general)
I think I did pretty well for playing my first Fox main.
