lol yeah of course.

I got top 5 right behind Fly Amanita, Lucky, S2J and Westballz. I'm not saying she's bad because I did poorly or anything. I just copped out and went Fox like 99% of the sets I played LOL

Can someone help me with the Marth matchup? I always feel like i understand it, then i fight a new marth and cant do it ._. Like the dash attack strategy about getting under him never works. I also feel like i approach the same alot vs Marth because i feel like i have no other options.

Most important thing against Marth imho is our vegetable (I feel Marth might even be her worst matchup if it weren't for the turnips).

If Marth is not approaching but trying to just punish your approaches, step away from him, grab a turnip and work from there. Aerial turnip toss -> fc aerial is pretty amazing as an approach, since either he shields the turnip or gets hit from it and afterwards you can come in with the aerial (be aware of moves that stay out forever (e.g. his nair)).

Try to end your combos with him being either offstage (yay edgeguard opportunities) or simply in the air. He's got the same problem we do: no good moves to hit opponents coming from below, so you are in a favourable position, and might get to tack on more percentage or even kill him.

Defensively you have to watch out for his octopus grab (that thing is too damn long :D), his good dash dance game, and be sure to respect that he can combo us to about 70-80% from a single grab / first hit.

As far as grab game for Peach, what should i be looking for? And with the turnip approach, i feel like i approach too soon and with the same thing being *Turnip>Fair*, which is then dash danced out of, and then i get grabbed. I think that might just be problems with my spacing in general.

connor, did wes go falcon or falco against u? when/if u were peach. i actually dont have as much trouble with his falco than his falcon, but my falcon mu sucks and his is pretty good so he never goes falco on me anymore =/. did u end up using fox?

Funny. I did the opposite last week.

My fox ***** when I'm playing well. Other times, it just looks so basic lol

From Smasher's Reunion in Norway today: Armada v PP WF at about 5:25 and then GF (pretty sure it doesn't spoil anything to tell you these 2 are in GF) at about 5:55. I don't think Armada played that well this tournament, in comparison to how well he normally plays anyway. (Wish I could play half as well as he does on a bad day mind you)

Armada is never playing well. In the same way that PP is always sick, Mango never tries, M2K's controller is lost or being held hostage by Sakurai, etc.

edit: The point of this post is not to infer that those things haven't been legitimate things. But rather that how you played is significantly more important than how you could have played. At least in my eyes, anyway.

had a little bit of trouble with peach sheik this tourney

I'm gonna kink it out instead of going the sheik ditto route though.. I think I start approaching recklessly when I'm down a stock and it counts.. getting shieldgrabbed by sheik hurts

I was trying to watch your match because I also have trouble with tafo, but I had to go play mine.

Hes very patient which used to be easy to deal with when he didnt know the matchup, but hes learned a few things since then.

He finds this perfect space where he can stay safe yet punish turnip pulls and I have no idea how to get around that.

I just have trouble with Fox's movement. I haven't been dying as much, thanks to DI/SDI/safer movement, but I still can't freaking catch him. I'm here chasing Foxes all day on Dreamland/Stadium/FD.

My problem is that I think I have to run after him, I think (I have no patience, and need to learn some).

Marth feels like a 40:60 whenever I play it, but I just assume I'm bad at the MU/people are playing better than me/are better vs Peach. I won't use my own personal failings with Marth to influence too greatly how I see a matchup (*cough cough*).

As long as we don't get grabbed or ftilted, Peach beats Sheik. :D

@Paju: Ughhhh, Falcon. I'm also really bad vs him. Doesn't help that he beats her. :(

Every time I watch Fuzzyness play Falcon vs Peach, I want to slit my wrists.

@Strong Bad: Lol? How come?

^.^

Oh, and from my own personal successes, Falcon is even vs Peach and Fox is almost even vs Peach

Second fav char in the game is Falcon and he requires stupid reads to do well with, and I don't like 50/50 situations being integral to gameplay. Third fav char is Peach, I really like the way she controls space and combos. And it's kind of fun to not be combo'd to death by every character in the game.

I wish Pink Shinobi would un-retire himself and teach us (me) Falcon. :(

I support you, Strong Bad. :D

Isn't Peach also slightly similar to DK? You space around with stupidly long aerials (bair for DK, fair for Peach) until you get in a favorable position and do some awesome combo stuff to your opponent from there? :D

@Ryobeat:
Marth throwing: I usually go for a downthrow planning / hoping to get in a aerial (and possibly a combo from that) afterwards, or just throw him off the stage if possible and try to edge guard him. Especially if you mix those up, the results are pretty nice (though I don't tend to get many grabs on Marth), if he DIs up and gets downthrown, the aerial is pretty much guaranteed, and if he DIs away on a fair... well, we all love how bad that can end for him :D

And getting DD grabbed out of turnip -> fair means your spacing is pretty off, yup :(

@ShroudedOne: If I face a Fox who goes on platforms a lot I usually pull a turnip and see what he does. Most of them get annoyed by just getting stuff thrown at them when they are running around on the platforms and start approaching again (probably rightly so, Peach might get a stitchface after all :) ).

edit: i just realized pulling a turnip seems to be my answer against all things camping related xD
