Throat steroids? WTF...

Oh. For mono. For a second there I thought it had to do with nonsense.

I wanna play Kels. Actually, I wanna play everyone lolz.

Might start using Peach again. Depending on whether or not I can deal with her being so... unbelievably slow. Fox and Sheik have spoiled me.

Knowing KK, I think we can all guess at what he said.

And the peach boards prolly have the best mods on these forums.

I like how it's mods modding each other. >_>;

So do you guys have any tips vs. Marth? If he lets me pull turnips, I'm good, but otherwise, I have a very big problem dealing with him.

I dash dance and wavedash a lot to bait the marth. I know this sounds simple but its helps so much.

Also atm i am working at throwing my peach at him off the stage for a early gimp with nair but this is still a work in progress.

idk..

tbh i'm just not the same player i used to be. back in tristate, I used to get CONSTANT practice against people equal or above my skill level.

it's been a while. been on a decline since Apex :<
yeah, I understand. We've discussed that before.

Still, I wanted to try to motivate you to **** him :D

Do KK and Unknown share the same account or something? :p
KK and unknown are the same person
this.

But nah, in all seriousness I was talking to him on the phone at the time and since I was using a phone to type, then I got lazy and let him type it out on his PC.

Hey I know this is pretty late but it came up when I opened the thread. A couple of other things I wanted to throw in is

1. You need to fair more. You approached/defended a lot with nair, but fair has more range and is less likely to trade than nair. Get your floats a little higher and you can deter a lot of approaches with fair.

2. When you got him in his shield with an aerial, you went for the immediate downsmash a lot which got you punished a few times. Downsmash is pretty much what everyone expects so you missed a few opportunities to punish his roll with a dash attack or something. If he's just shielding your downsmash and not rolling, then you can mixup with a grab or something else. But like I said earlier you rarely approached with fairs and the extra shield stun will help you more.

Other than that Shrouded said some good stuff this is just what I happened to notice watching the games.

Thanks man! I actually also noticed that 2nd thing by myself and I think Im now little better at mixupping in that situation. But thanks for the tips, I really appreciate them!

Doll told me to sidestep >_>;

I feel like wd'ing oos to attack when he aerials your shield to get him away from you and then pulling a turnip should be a set thing in this matchup. Turnips can pressure him so well, if you know how to use them properly. They can force him to aerial or catch the turnip, which takes away a large portion of his moveset.

I agree on lots of WD OoS, but I feel like every sidestep I do just gets DD grabbed. Doesn't seem like Marth players get thrown off by them at all. It's highly possible that I'm doing it at the wrong times in the wrong ways, but then I guess I just don't know how to sidestep against Marth, because there must be a certain way, right?

For 4 days in a row i have been playing against a marth main. Turnips r key, also make sure to keep dash dance and wavedash a lot, once he is off the stage u have to make it hard for him to get back, use turnips throw yourself at him if u feel u can just make it hard for him also knowing when to grab the edge is key. Everytime he jumps try to dash attack under him if u can. I find spot dodge to be a really bad option. Also once u get him above u make it hard for him to get down. Its a hard mu to explain, i sort of felt everytime ether one of use touched the other a lot of dmg was done and i wish i had vids Recorded but sadly i dont

I think it has more to do with VaNz getting like top 8 at Pound 5 and top 3 at The Big House (where he massively outplaced Kels at both and even beat one of the people that beat Kels at TBH). The fact that Unknown's beaten Kels but lost to VaNz might also have something to do with it.

Oh, and regional bias. :lick:

edit: aren't they both Midwest at this point anyway...?
actually i didn't do so bad at either national i went to... 25th at pound 4 and 11th at pound 5. But i will say this.. I think that Vanz and unknown are both better than me. tbh i didn't really expect to beat vanz. After he ***** my first stock tho i knew that approaching wasn't such a good so i just started to camp and it happened to work. Vanz was really off with his cg on fd tho. He definitely would have probably had that match had he not messed it up.

turns out there was a technical malfunction so i don't have any marth vids :(. so me vs tai and me vs axe will be forever lost D: . i actually did better than i thought i would, and it wouldve been good learning material for myself. has this ever happened to anyone? geh a little frustrating

also among the vids lost was wobbles vs. fly, which we'll never see happen ever again

@thesage: John! is right, no guaranteed punish there. Dash attack would probably have worked or at least traded. I would also watch Armada vs. S2J vids, they've had a few sets and they're pretty helpful. It seems like he tends to play a bit on the campy side starting combos/tech chases with defensive float fairs and getting underneath him with dash attacks.

The only reason I asked is because I couldn't think of a thing Peach could do to not get hit by Falcon's nair after that kind of DI. I guess I now know why good players don't use the 2nd jab a lot. It has good range, but it's not safe on it except at high percents.

2nd Jab I use to cover myself if I think they've read the first jab on shield and are ready to react to it.

What MacD did there is what I would have done because the hope is that he would shield. If he had future sight and knew that Hax was about to nair he could have WD back :)

what VA said

i expected him to land on the ground and try to shield or something. he DIed it pretty well. dash attack might have worked (good ol jab, jab, magic hands). he basically went farther then i was expecting so the nair didn't work

granted i wouldn't have wavedashed back but that's cause i'm bad. staying in place would have been fine

but i personally do like double jab, but at kinda higher percents it doesn't really work well to follow up

So, he uses Falco in maybe one match, but I just need help/critique on the Ganondorf one, to be honest. I think it's partially that he's better, but the MU kind of screw me over, too. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. :)

I know that one issue of mine is that I forfeit space in very odd places. Trying to work on that, by figuring out when and where I can continue pressure, and when I should back off.

I lost 1-2. Last stock, last match! Advice from Peach players who play Ice Climbers regularly would be helpful. <3

I lost 1-2. I murdered his Link after he ***** me with Marth the first match. I then got really close in the last match. I definitely felt like I could have won the set. The Marth matchup is tough but I feel like I've improved in it recently.

Axe and I teamed and beat Taj and Wobbles in Winner's Finals 3-1 and Grand Finals 3-2. You can check out the videos here in Tai's channel:

So i was playing against a falcon and when he tried to i believe nair or fair me i decided to try a fc upair. I believe i traded with him but was at low enough dmg to then combo him. So my question here is how useful might fc upair be against falcon?

Also how much does peach's hurtbox shift when doing a up air?

For comboing, FC uair is fairly good. For interrupting him, you need a hard read for that. Otherwise, dash attack works better (ftilt kinda can, weirdly enough).

My opinionated view on Peach's matchups (vs the top 8)

Marth 40:60
Fox 45:55
Sheik 45:55
Jigglypuff 50:50 or 45:55 [needs to play more]
Falco 50:50
Peach 50:50
Captain Falcon 50:50
Ice Climbers 60:40

Marth has a sword. Peach does not have the mobility to get passed swords. Discuss

I know ftilt can stop falcon but i feel hitting that is a harder read then using a up air. Also thanks for posting the hitbox she doesnt bend as much as i thought but the hitbox is solid and with a read might be a decent thing to use vs falcon. (Testing is needed)

I dont believe marth is a 40/60 i believe its a 45/55. Its just takes work and a different way of thinking. Like if u try to fight that like any other mu u r going to be in trouble

Just wanted to add that if the aerials are executed well enough, dsmash actually catches rolls. In frame perfect land even fc aerial > grab catches rolls, and downsmash comes out two frames earlier (:
