if it was me instead of Hrnut, I would have PUNCHED THE LITTLE KID IN THE FACE AFTERWARDS
and then i would have screamed "YOU SUCK YOU PIECE OF DOODOO DON'T EVER ENTER A TOURNAMENT AGAIN FOR ANYTHING"
and then I would have murdered his parent(s) on the spot

lol, garbanzo, I don't know if you heard, but Hrnut basically didn't let the kid do more than 9% to him the whole set.

Eventually i got better and better, and learned from playing someone better than me. I won the under 750 division at a tournament (only once. As a whole my chess career was less than fantastic). Eventually, by the time i was about 14 i could beat my dad most of the time.
That doesn't mean you can't teach someone as you beat them, doesn't mean you can't point out the difference age can makes in a game, and doesn't mean you can't be encouraging (you should). But going easy on someone is detrimental.
.. actually, it's hard to comment without knowing how old the kid was.
y'all can threadban me if i stick my nose in here too much.

Hm... me and bro been waiting for some type of tourament or some type of place were
we can fight people that are just as good as else. When we play against each other games
last for about 10 minutes with only 3 lifes. So that **** is intense. I live in Melbourne Florda and
i got a friend who goes to UCF. So i might be able to come check that out some time hit me up sum
#'s and we can talk about it. 18+
