I didn't get accepted that's why. Though I wish I did. But who knows if my letter doesn't get sent in or something. I'll just go to Miami where they did accept me if they let me.
Ah either way I flipped a coin.
To those OU people. I just didn't think OU fit me. If it was diversity I really don't care as seeing how I'm the only asian wherever I go most of the time. Academically Miami and OSU are stronger. I also believed that I fit in well with Miami and OSU more. TBH I hate Mansfield Campus but its for one year so I'll deal with it and get good grades. Even though I'm at Mansfield I can do GEC(General Elective Course) and get them done at Mansfield then go to Columbus and head on into majors and things I'm interested in as long as I maintain a higher GPA than 2.0 or 2.5. If they don't then daaamn I hate OSU. Regardless the picture or goal is what will benefit me the most in 4 years.
This was probably the biggest miniature stress of my life. For 4 days I had to think what freaking school I want. Miami has everything for me and I was basically safe since housing and dining plan isn't a problem. Only concerns would be if the people were too snobbish for me or not and having to major theatre just to take Voice and Speech Studios. I may get permission but eh I probably would have gotten in if I told them my situation of trying out for Voice Acting. OSU has everything too and I don't have to major theatre to take Voice and Speech Studios. But the problem was Mansfield. No guaranteed housing lol and no dining plan and dinner isn't even served. I may also need to live in an apartment alone and that may be too stressful me. They don't have Japanese so if I go to Columbus and fail placement. My one year of Japanese credit (PSEOP) that I have taken would be useless since I would have to take two years of a language to graduate and I don't want to take my required foreign language sophomore and Junior. If I was at Miami I wouldn't have mind doing it Freshman and Sophomore. I may have even done it at Junior. The goal also for me was to study abroad to Japan by Junior year and OU didn't really impress me at all with their study abroad to Japan. But yeah seeing how Mansfield hinders me so much I probably should have gone to Miami, right? Hopefully I won't regret my choice (flip coin). I have a great tutor that has helped me in my studies and processes of choices. He is a great buddy to me and help so that's a huge plus. If I am serious about Japanese then I just need to study hardcore and if not I can go to a Japanese school on Saturdays for 4 hours. Either way I'm going to need work hard wherever I go. I will also need to change my life style anyways so Mansfield will teach me this. Either way I think I would have excelled in both schools =).
Oh yeah and by being at Mansfield I'll be close to NEOH and if I go to Columbus too I can still be relatively close for Smashfest! Also UNDER CANTON!!!
Well we'll see if this holds true unless I have a dream that tells me I'm doing wrong and better send the other letter to the postoffice tomorrow or today.

Congrats on your choice Suyon. Hopefully you'll be happy with your decision. Either school you chose to go to is good but yeah, OU isn't as academically sound as OSU or MU.
Keep in mind that even with your choice of school that choice isn't binding. Or at least it doesn't have to be. I hope you enjoy your new school!

Okay, so I'm not sure wtf is going on anymore with my life. I thought I was going to OSU but then my parents start yelling at me telling what school I'm going to. I was forced to go and mail the acceptence letter to Miami. They told me they would explain everything on the way. Instead they didn't tell me **** and forced me to stamp and leave. I thought my letter to OSU was sent and apparently its sent. So I don't know why I'm being forced to turn in my Miami now. All I know is that I'm super pissed. It could be I realized I hate Miami because of its people and rigorous studying or I hate my parents. So two acceptance letters own their way....just ugh wtf. I don't want to deal with this stupid **** again.

Uhh...take charge of your own life? I've read one too many stories in this community about people just letting their parents make all of their important, life changing decisions for them even well after they're 18. Aren't you an adult now, Suyon?
Seriously, if you feel you should be taking another route, then take another route. They're not the ones who are about to go to school, you are. Then again...if they're paying for it, you're kind of SOL unless you get a job to pay for it yourself. That's what I did at 16, got a job and saved to buy anything I wanted so that no one could hold it over my head, that includes school, my car, and soon...my own place. I love my parents to death, but I made it clear that once I started paying my own dues, their watch over me has been scaled down to merely an important advisory role that I can choose whether or not to confide in. **** that forcing ****, it should be left behind along with high school and everything prior to that.
I'm only giving my take on that sort of thing, but it's up to you if you want to take charge of deciding the things that will most impact your own life.
Cultural differences are also irrelevant by the way, my dad is a hot-headed Puerto Rican, so he is/was easily as strict as any Asian/Hindu parents out there. I still put my foot down when it truly mattered.

It really sucks when parents can be overbearing and controlling, but keep in mind that they love you and just want whats best for you. However, as KB said, you are an adult, and ultimately you have to do what YOU think is best for yourself. Your parents may know you pretty well, but nobody knows you better than you do. College should be your decision, because its setting you up for the rest of your life. Maybe you can try and talk things out with them? Just be calm and polite, and lay it out straight. I find that's usually the best strategy for dealing with parents xD. I really hope things work out for you, and keep us posted!

I really don't care anymore. I'll just let fate take its role now. I have always been unsatisfied. All I know is that I'm upset from what happened that day. I was trying to study for my Japanese final since but they just added more stress...man. In other case yeah they are paying for it.
I will probably not watch the Indians because Baseball is boring. I won't ever go watch Basketball or any other sports unless it was like a major tournament or something. In fact I still probably wouldn't watch the Indians if they made it to the playoffs or whatever.
I still don't know if I want to go Argent.
All I need right now is October to arrive so I can watch Shakugan no Shana 3, Persona 4, and maybe perhaps To aru majutsu no index 3. I can't read any of the light novel stories since they're not translated into English...torment. God is just laughing at my channel.
