It's not like Protest is unique in that aspect. There are a lot of bands (especially in heavy/noisy music) that have a completely unique sound.
I didn't in any way say that other bands haven't done this, I was just responding to the placement that was being discussed. I even made a point in my post to say that I wasn't trying to single PTH out.
Searched Blind Guardian, found valhalla, listened to it, listened to other related links. I felt that the guitar work is a less keyboard filled in dragonforce, especially the riffs.Well, the guitar work is reminiscent of dragon force, IMO.
he's not confirmed to be their permanent drummer. he's still just touring with them.But I usually don't have a problem with A7X. Their music can be fun, even if it's not what I define as serious metal. Plus, they now have Mike Portnoy as a permanent member, and that man is the Jesus Christ of drummers.
