It's nice to have friends who still keep in touch with you, especially when you don't have to go up and talk to them everytime. As in after they've moved or something. It made my day.

It is my 20th birthday today...and I am spending the whole day cleaning/packing for my first semester away from home

Got my first semester grades back. **** YES, all A's. I worked my *** off to get pre-calc up to an A. **** that was hard. Lmao I'm not even good at Enlish/Lit. and still got an A+

I'm happy I had lessons growing up--the piano is quite beautiful. Violin is as well. I wish I had taken lessons for it.
On a side note, club fun tonight, and I've been so ready for a night out, so that qualifies me for the happy thread. XD

I scored an 88 in bowling today.
Pretty proud of myself.
Also, I wanna get into playing the piano. I've been playing the guitar for 5 years, clarinet for 7, and Tuba for about 1 year. It's really hard trying to get into another instrument when you've got all these others you know so well already. But I'm pushing myself to do so

Oh we will :D I've been with her for about 3 years and she might be the one! But right now we have to save up for it but I think it will be worth it.
My roommate, my friend, and I are in a prank war/rap battle with our dorm neighbors (we're 304, they're 306)
After a crazy day of battles, I think we won:

P.S. The rug was stolen during a hostage situation we had today. Kidnapped one of the guys from 306. I always follow the Geneva Convention while taking prisoners of war, so we fed him steak/chicken tacos (homemade, so they were extra yummy)
Got banana bread due to our list of demands. It was awesome.

Got her laptop fixed, went to the casino to gamble and make some quick spending money. Walked out 5mins later up $40.
Bought some Baileys drinks and went to an all you can. Stayed there eating and talking for 3 hours haha.
Went outside and sat by the river in the warm night in each others arms.

For the first time in my whole life, I finally got a job.
Landscaping is probably going to be at least the most neutral job I can work at instead of serving fast food in restaurants.
Right now, I don't have the work schedule ready until spring starts up.
For now, I work when I am needed. This is going to be a good year. I just know it.

Got my paycheck. I can pay off all £336 quid and still have plenty for myself, well chuffed.

A keyboard uses electrical synths that can never match the real acoustic counterparts.
The keys also do not match the touch of a real piano.
And I also already have a beast keyboard anyway so no need to get another.

I dunno man there's a decent bit of theory and learning how to use correct fingering and building correct technique is something that's good to have a teacher for.
Sure you do 90% of it yourself, but for that 10% a teacher is really good.
Well imo anyway, there are subtle things you don't really learn on your own that can make a big difference..

as for learning, I think it's always good to have someone teach you in the beginning so you don't pick up as many bad habits that you'll later have to unlearn.

Since my new piano is going to be a Yamaha I wonder if can score a weeaboo boy or two because I have a Japanese piano.
I do expect them to be that fickle, just play some Final Fantasy song on it or something and I'll be set.
