This has taken quite a long time. Is it that difficult for people in certain cities to gather tournament data and place accordingly? There will always be future tournaments, so whatever you guys come up with is virtually a rough draft.

Apparently Rob$ was so amazing at Melee that he should be on the Brawl rankings just on principle.

I think each of the people on that list should post their "resume" of tournament placings. I'm curious who has taken first at the most tournaments.

I'm so happy you guys finally came up with a list. Congrats to your efforts.

On another note, people on the power ranking list should not feel hesitant to money match people that aren't on the list right?

Most of the top Houston players on the list won't MM people anyways, because they're nice like that. But they sure will accept one if someone desires to MM them. ;)

So yeah, someone go and MM Roy_R. Maybe I will, because I know he's not that good.

Jk Roy, don't destroy me again. : (

Just wondering, which tournaments are to be judge on what falls under the "point system"?

Is this by choice, or determined on the type of people who show up?

We all submitted lists then combined them. The list will change every so often.

I definitely feel like I deserve to be higher on this list. I've proven consistently that I can not only compete with all of the people above my but 2 (I haven't played either Stiltzkin or T-Rex, so I wouldn't know) but I can also beat them. In fact, my record against Melee1 is currently X-1 where X is the number of times we've played in tournament. We've played each other a lot, too.

But hey, it's cool. I'll just prove you wrong when I'm able to travel again and play more often. Thank you to those who did vote for me, I promise to lower taxes when I'm elected presi...oops, wrong campaign.

Speaking of Melee1, congrats on getting that high on the list dude. Dallas is better than we're given credit for :p

QFT.

Dallas is under rated, but we have plenty time, i can't wait to see all the names we haven't seen yet start popping up in the future :)

Is the current list "official" to where I should put it on the sticky?

EDIT: Nvm. I just saw that Drew already edited Texas in.

Honestly, I didn't even have you on my original list. Everyone else insisted you should be and so I put you on there. At the tourney that had the most cross-regional players so far (FS4) you tied for 9th. Pozer, who is below you on the list, placed 4th. Also, all I've seen you play so far is MK, and I think MK is by far the easiest character to be good with. I've seen Dojo bust out Falco, Wobbles bust out Wario, etc, but I've only seen you play MK (in tourney). I think everyone on that list would beat you.

Beating someone you play with often doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. You are very familiar with Melee1's playing style and because you are the highest tiered character in the game, you can punish his patterns. At tournaments, however, he places better than you do. I often beat great players with my Ganon, but then my friends who are less skilled can beat my Marth, Snake, etc.

Also, Dallas sucks (just kidding) :p

I truly believe this power rankings should stick to central n upper texas. The valley has so much talent and its hard to display it at every tourny due to distance. Its easy for most of you since tournys are averagely 3-4 hours while we must go pretty far for one...Only tourny upstaters came was Battle at tha Border 2, and Pax placed 2nd only losing to pozerwolf...RoyR, Stiltz, Dmk went and he placed higher I myself went Final Smash 4 and placed higher than Dojo, Stiltz, Dmk, and Lee Harris...Its true that we should make more effort but so should you guys. No disrespect towards anyone, just voicing an oppinion

Actually I've used Fox, DeDeDe, Pit, Falco, Wolf, Marth, Rob and even Gannondorf in tournaments before. The only one that I didn't win with was Marth because I'm some kind of awful with him. I even came back from being down 3 stocks to 1 with Gannon against a dude's Olimar, and the dude's not a bad player.

Ask Fogo or bwett about the time I came over and played as R.O.B. to be funny because of a conversation we were having. Ask Fogo about the time I played as Fox for the 3rd time ever against his DeDeDe when we were at the clubhouse. Ask anyone up here how fast I pick up a character and get good with them.

Yes, I use Metaknight. He is my best character. When I'm in a tournament against good players I always give them my best. Being punished for playing people at my best is ludicrous. You have never played against me, period; how could you know anything about what skill I have?

Also, in regards to that tournament, take a look at the brackets and take a look at who I lost to. RoyR and Hylian. Against both of them it came down to the last stock with a very high percent and both of them have much more knowledge of the matchup than I do. RoyR was the first Marth I'd played against in a Brawl tournament and the first good Marth I'd played against in Brawl. That was one rough 9th place finish.

And about Melee1 placing better than me in tournaments: you're pretty wrong about that one dude. He's placed better than me in 3 tournaments that I can recall where we both entered. We've played in like 25 or some nonsense like that. Not to discredit him, because he is a very good player, just saying that your statement about him placing in tournaments better than I do is generally incorrect. In fact, look on the first page of his tournament thread and you'll see my name all over it. It has a 1 next to it usually.

So now that the rant is out of the way I'm going to just say that I'm not holding a grudge against anyone. I've met everyone on the panel and you're all pretty cool guys, I just don't feel like I'm being given enough credit. End of discussion.
