Why doesn't anyone understand that thier WILL NOT BE SUBRANKINGS. Only ONE LIST.
It was just a suggestion and it really didn't warrant that kind of reaction.

As far as panelists, well traveled people are best as well as people who contribute a lot to the boards. Houston has a lot of good smashers that are hard to rank. Thats why I suggested Stiltz AND Seth. DMK and I are the two most traveled players, thats pretty obvious. The only reason I suggest Wobbles is because he has contributed a lot to the smash community and I know he has a really good understanding of skill. We don't really need reps from every place. We know the top dallas players. Can any of you tell me how Infinity would do vs Roy_R or stiltzskin? Or even Kalo? Those are the kind of panelists we need. How many of you keep track of other tournaments? That is REALLY important.
As far as people being able to say who would do well against who there are 0 people from Dallas that can do that at the moment. We'll be traveling more starting this weekend, so expect that to change.

Edit - Grammarfied!

Drew said like 3 times prior to you saying that, there will be no subrankings. So I thought maybe people would read it if I put it in caps.

And Kal, there has been pleanty of tournaments so far. And people have been placing very consistantly.

It's unlikely that anyone cares enough. We already know the list would go:

Xelic
Caveman
Wobbles
SoS
Roy-R
Rayzorium
Sethlon
I know there isn't supposed to be any debate, but what on earth made you decide to put Caveman over Wobbles?

I would just say all three are tied for first because Wobbles has never lost a set to Caveman, Xelic has never lost a set to Wobbles, and Caveman almost always beats Xelic.

However!

According to the results brackets, Xelic beat Caveman at the Georgia tournament a couple weeks back. If you take that into account, both Wobbles and Xelic would go over Caveman, making it:
1 Xelic, 2 Wobbles, 3 Caveman

The rest doesn't matter, but I will say that SOS definitely isn't 4th. The last impressive thing he ever did was beat Xelic...a YEAR ago. At the past couple tournaments he's lost to such scrubs as arc, Mr. C, bluezaft, and some random fox guy. I don't wanna sound like I'm insulting SOS or anything...

How would Final Smash 4 effect this list? And I know I'll be dodging bullets for this but, Hylian, what would you make top3/5 for San Antonio?

FS4 is a perfect example of why it's too soon for this list.

If you were to go off previous tournament results, I doubt you would have gotten anything near what happened at FS4. Things are changing a LOT.

Btw hylian can you make a new braunfels power ranking thx lulz

By that you mean FS4 is a perfect example of why you shouldn't be on the list?

The sooner we make power rankings the better. Doesn't matter who is on the list, the better players will naturally be placed correctly as more tournaments take place.

Sorry you backwards douchebag. Your assumption skills are most likely hampered by your ugly physique and your lack of friends.

I won't be on any list regardless of when it's made. There are plenty of players significantly better than me.

Jeez. That was quite.... harsh. Btw Lee, due to Roy's recent use of C. Falcon in the finals, I believe your sig requires modifying : ). I think you remember the parameters we discussed.

Haha, yeah... Well, we still have to have our Ganon/Falcon MM. Once he beats me in that matchup, then I will change the freakin Sun to Falcon's balls. Are you guys coming to the Austin tourney on July 11th? There's plenty of free housing down here.

Still though, I am totally impressed that he used Falcon in the finals. I seriously started laughing out loud when I read he did that. Totally awesome.

Housing makes the prospect much more appealing. We definitely need to get more oli/ganon matches considering that it's one of the most even match ups in the game.

Yea, sometime during the grand finals I told him not to worry about the outcome since they were splitting the prize and I wanted him to hurry up and lose so we could get on with the doubles stuff. Picking falcon seemed like a pretty good solution at the time....

Haha, that was the hardest I've ever gotten wrecked in Brawl. Ganon is such a piece of **** sometimes. I'll have to bust out the ROB next time we play.

I'm just impressed that Roy won a match against the ICs with Falcon. Amazing.

And if you decide to come down, let me know. If you can't find someone like Hylian to stay with in Austin, I live about 30 outside Austin and everyone can come play drinking games at my place.

You must be kidding ^^. I fail at sensing sarcasm over the internetz.

Stop trolling, you do nothing but waste space and rarely contribute anything to any discussion, I'm not the only one in this thread that realizes this. I honestly picture you as a fat, 30 year old virgin man with nothing better to do with his time then eat pizza, drink soda, and sit at a computer while trying to posts ******** crap for ****s and giggles. Unfortunately, I had the horrifying opportunity to see you in person take on wobbles in the losers bracket. I saw you play your main gainst his toy around character and won (good job), but the look on your face when he picked metaknight...priceless. That inevitable sense of doom that befell you made my day. That uncomfortable look of confusion in your eyes and hands while choosing snake was great. In Dallas, we don't cower like some lil *****. Here's a tip, take a breather if you get nervous and feel like your about to choke. There, that's free...I don't even want you to lick my balls for it.

P.S-Don't **** talk to me

Haha! Someone wants to argue on the intarwebz.

Well, who else realizes that I don't contribute? Give me some names please. I guess that whole Smash Back Room I'm a part of must be crazy. I troll intelligent people such as yourself because I get a kick out of it.

I'm a 19 year old who owns his own computer consulting and repair business, goes to college full time, and has a hot girlfriend. You are way off. I've seen you, however, and your face looks like my ballsack when I stretch it out. I doubt you can walk outside without children wetting themselves.

I do this stuff for fun, dude. You, on the other hand, take this very seriously even though you clearly don't make any money off the game.

And I like your short story about the emotions running through my head. You'd make a good Spanish soap opera writer. Unfortunately, you are a complete idiot. I get nervous when I play anyone in tournaments because it gets intense. You can ask anyone who has been to a tournament with me; that's just the way I am. Fortunately, I succeed in a million ways in real life where you fail miserably to make up for it.

PS - I hope your mother gets hit by a bus for reproducing.

***** *****s can't relate to the story of a true champ

Between trophy gfs and unnecessary roughness yall have made my morning.

I don't think things have changed as much as things have been simpler in the past. Dallas has had no counter for MK so our MK do really well. Go to SA and RoyR cleans up the MK and Brawl1 makes it to the top. The more players to counter each other the accuracy is upped.

In melee, I believe Bluezaft could make top 5 in rankings. He is getting Rtarded.

You should've called him school in the summer, that would've shut 'im up for sure.

It's cooler if we don't explain this and we're just like "yeah, Dallas' third best beat everyone in Texas, Dallas is frikkin awesome."

Now now children, play nice.

Assuming Sethlon is a go we'd need a 5th panelist.

The name Wobbles came up but he never really confirmed any willingness to participate...

I think I deserve a higher spot in the power rankings!!!!! LoL. Seriously the same people keep placing really high at each event. Im ready for the power rankings to be started. Ive beaten majority of Texas best in tournies, and placed higher than the top 5 from every city at FS4. I do not agree with hylian, Roy R is not the the best in Texas. He is very good, but not number 1. I dont know what the order would be but we have about 15-18 SOLID SMASHERS who qualify for the power rankings.

Prove to me that you know your stuff, preferably in the form of a PM outlining your experience (both playing and spectating and maybe just following stuff online) and you can be on the panel.

Then we could actually get something done.

OK we have an initial panel of 5:

Hylian
Dr. Mario Kart
Lee Harris
Sethlon
Fogo

I'd advise the 5 of you to start communicating through AIM or PMs or whatever to figure out a place to discuss things confidentially.
