  • No, linko. He posted misinformation to discredit the group because he didn't agree with the decision we made almost 3-1.

I actually voted to ban MK, and I'm still willing to say that it was massively shot down.
Want to money match my Ike with your ganon? I'll do 10$ since thats what I'm doing against hylian.

Duffman is doing 20 against hylian because its 10$ Ike vs falcon and 10$ ganon vs falcon in case you where wondering.
I am very sad to hear that you think of me this way. I have reason to respect an esteemed individual such as yourself, so when you speak, people listen, myself included. However, I feel the need to at least explain my situation, not because I want your sympathy, but so that you will understand where it is I am coming from. First off, when I said I felt rather empty on the inside, I meant it. I went to the tournament with one thing in mind: getting some MK practice, and the only "practice" I got was the one with you. So when you did not play your MK a second time, I was honestly very disappointed (not with you specifically, just the fact that my chance at anther MK match was lost). So in regards to your wanting me to evaluate my goals, I had them set very early on. This was the first tournament I've gone to, so other than this, the only characters I've faced on numerous occasions were an olimar, a lucas, samus on 3 seperate occasions, and a pikachu. Other than that, I have faced no other characters more than a few times (your MK was 5th time I've ever played one). Second, I had no intention of doing as well as I did, and the only reason I said I was not complaining was because I would never whine about doing well because that would be conceited and selfish. However, if I were to go around saying I'm 7th in Texas, that would be equally conceited, which is why I DIDN'T go around saying it, because I know this is far from the truth. "It's not where you place, it's who you beat." You are absolutely right, and I agree to the fullest, and that you would indicate that I might have felt otherwise was slightly insulting. Had I played Xyro, T-rex, Mr.3000, infinity, stiltz, or anyone else of that caliber, I would have surely lost and placed 65th right off the bat. Now, this is all I have to offer to vindicate myself from your hurtful accusations. I don't know what it is that made our matches less "fun" for you. I see that you play snake (at least that is what you icon indicates), so that you couldn't bust out your main may have been because of my ability to spam CG's would be the only conclusion that I can come up with as far as your inability to have fun. However, your interpretation of fun and my interpretation of fun must be entirely different, because I rather enjoyed all 3 of our matches(until you walked off of course). I play the game not to win, but to improve myself. So I am having fun when I lose, or when I am having a difficult time with a certain matchup, both of which applied to you. As for why it is I seem to offer the least amount of fun, outside of the fact that I was a "chore", the only thing that came to mind was chain-grabbing. However, the only match I was capable of utilizing it on was with your samus. You quit in the middle of your ROB match. Not to be insulting to your ROB, but had we played on the same level under the same circumstances, I have reason to believe that it would have been a close match, and you would by no means have "easily" defeated me, if your winning had been the case. If you could have easily defeated me, I would ask that you show me yourself at your most ruthless, because otherwise you would officially be insulting me by not playing at your best (regardless of how "fun" it was). Etiquette outside of the game is as crucial as it is inside of the game. Now, I am truly sorry that you couldn't enjoy playing me, however, outside of playing without chain-grabs, I would never even think of changing my DeDeDe playing style unless it was a 100% improvement overall (outside of cheap spamming, such as MK's nado spam or, dare i say, DeDeDe's changrab, to which I have given serious consideration on stopping all together). Again, I am deeply sorry that you felt so strongly about how I played, but the fact that you can't respect the way a fellow smash enthusiast plays is very disappointing. I don't expect a full response, hell, I don't even figure you'll waste your time responding to me, but outside of CG's, I will not now, nor possibly even ever, change my main or my style. I am sorry for having wasted your time at the tourney, as well as with this lengthy response, but all I have to offer is that the next time we meet (if ever) is that I will play without the ability to CG. Other than that, if you have more reason to indicate that I am "the plank of Texas", than by all means walk away from our next match. I will neither question nor sympathize the next time.
I demand more dpad tournaments. Make it happen. Or I'll shoot your children.
