true palpi, but just fyi registration SWITCHES will only be applicable for a few more days. Once i start doing pools all is set, or else it would **** seeding.

inferno, typically since singles has an extra round of pools over teams and its easier to set up the singles bracket i do

singles r1
teams r1
singles r2
teams r2
singles r3
teams bracket
singles bracket

switching back and forth allows time for the TO's to enter pool scores from previous rounds while still continuing the tournament!

A lot of people dont like switching from singles to doubles, but from a TO's perspective, I understand why you do it. I am pretty sure that is how ROM3 worked out too.

In my opinion, the tournament should be catered to the players, not the TO's. Personally, I've never tried this system before. It's usually teams first then singles second. This will f*** over a lot of players.

i don't see how switching between teams and singles (in the same game) will "f*** someone over"

If you're not good enough that you get messed up by playing singles and doubles on and off, and that somehow affects ur performance, you probably weren't good enough to make a impact anyway....

A lot of people like using doubles as the warm up and it can bring them out of sync with singles after going back and forth. Not a big deal imo though, just trying to see both sides of the story.

If you use doubles as a warm up then you are kind of screwing up your teammate.....unless you are both warming up in which case you are both douche bags.

LOL chu is just trying to troll. it is catered for the players so that we can help move the tournament faster....so...yea....

and anyway that is just for pools round 1. anyway u get singles bracket round 3 LAST for pools, then teams bracket first and singles bracket last, just like usual.

is that how normal tournies usually do their pools? oh wait

Well yeah I agree, if you don't have the skill then it won't make any difference. The problem is, most of the people at this tournament HAVE skill. Everyone is throwing away $100+ for this tournament. This is serious, of course this is going to matter to everyone entering the tournament.

People have to concentrate on playing in two different tournaments, singles and doubles. People who play both Brawl and Melee have to concentrate on FOUR tournaments.

I urge people to go against Plairnkks idea, maybe give him other ideas on how can run the tournament. OR HE CAN JUST DO WHAT HE DID AT POUND 4.

LOL no, I'm not. And this isn't chu, this is rumikun. You are doing this so you can have an easier time writing down results when you don't see how this will CLEARLY affect players who play Brawl and Melee.

My bro had a fractured wrist at Apex and he still played. He also performed magic there too lol.

But he was in alot of pain doing so :( I guess it's really up to how much you feel the drive to go and play and hang out with everyone.
