M3D just moved and started a new job. He might be busy with that stuff for a while. We might need an interim organizer in the meantime.

SWF League of Legends Thread, Registration End January 20,2012 , 64 Man Sign-Up

Class is pretty slow this semester so if we need an organizer I don't mind filling M3D role temporarily. Also I believe Hondafoo makes a viable point about reducing the #'s of teams entering to 8 and just having multiple subs.

If I can recall, whoever organized the draft lists said that a few team leaders didn't submit their draft roster and was give random teams, probably could take those out.

if we really wanted to have 8 teams, then the 8 captains who are chosen can just draft from the remaining teams' members

Tbh due too alot of inactivity I believe we should do a total restart of the draft process. If f8al could give me ownership of the thread that would be great. I'll probably have people sign up again and end sign up by next Friday so people have ample time/notification about draft sign up.
Unlike m3d I do plan on restricting sign up to the first 64 entrants so each team will consist of 5 starters and 3 subs to guarantee that each team will have no excuse about being short of a player. If people don't like draft I may change the tournament to team sign up instead. Everyone please voice your opinion.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm still a fan of the draft, since we basically do the arranged team thing in our SWF Scrims anyway. I think by making it a tighter process to get onto a team, we'll get people who actually want to make a commitment to play this time around.

Elo (if applicable) : 1935
Only ask for ELO so that captains are able to have an estimate on a player skill level if they are unfamiliar with them.
After registration ends, if we have more than 8 people offering to be a captain, priority will be given to the captains with the highest elo and from there do a snake like draft. (EX, 8 captains draft would go as the following 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1....) First pick will be given to the lowest ELO captain (if multiple captain are unranked then it will be based on lowest amount of normal games win) and last pick will be given to the highest ELO captain.
Registration will end Friday 01-20-2012, Draft will begin Saturday 01-21-2012, I plan on doing a live draft via skype (skype name is Dphat add me)
If everything goes accordingly to my schedule I plan on having round 1 starts the following Friday at 01-27-2012
